The wide angle is really impressive as compared to the competition like Sigma and Tokina but f/4.5 is useless for real estate interior shoots. And Tokina at f/2.8 is sharper than this lens though priced double of this.

The glass and body were in great shape, and the photos are really nice, especially at about 200mm. I've used it at my nephews baseball tournaments and for bird shots. Was delivered in great shape and on time. I would definitely recommend this lens for amateurs who want to step up their wildlife and sports photography.

My D5300 can turn off VR in camera and it is older camera (2013). I think bigger problem of this lens is that it is not so sharp, and in general image quality is worse than other kit lenses. But what we can expect from cheapest 10-20mm lens on market. It is ok for someone who does not have money (like me) to buy real wide angle lens

this is a cheap dx lens from nikon and with high resolution cameras one can get good resolution pics/large prints even in dx crop mode this lens cost about 310 usd eqvt in India . this has led to used wide angle lenses getting cheaper . af-p lenses from Nikon are good for new models with which these are fully compatible and benefit new photographers - result of this new Nikon strategy is leading to sales of newer models and eroding re-sale value of old ones - something which probably Canon did in 1986 when it moved to focus motors in camera lenses . photography has to get cheaper so the skill levels of the man behind the camera does snot lose out to technology . upgrading always comes at a high cost

At 5:15 i saw "Cons: Heavy lens".its 230 gms, it gives Full frame equivalent Field of View of 15-30mm lens,its lighter than 16-35 mm full frame lens on full frame dslr. What are you expecting the lens to be 100 gms. I use 18-55 & 35 f/1.8.

If u take a picture. you have to have an extra flash that goes on the hotshoe the built in flash is not big enough to reach over the edge of the lens unless if your exposure is up so you can’t see it so here is a small heads up

Nice. I have this lens for a while now and I tried to do some star trails with it by connecting it to my Olympus em-10 II via an adapter with an aperture ring. I just could use the manual focus of this lens. I manual focus ring wasn't doing anything. What did I do wrong? TIA

Just purchased the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR , to pair with my new Nikon D7500. Also waiting on 2 other lenses to arrive. The Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM FLD Large Aperture Zoom, and the Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G Auto Focus. I think I went overboard, for a beginner who never did any real photography. Well, it's Time To Learn. Hahahaha.

Great lens. It's sharper than my 18-55mm kit lens and its super wide. The distortion is noticeable, especially when shooting urban scenes and architecture. It can be managed a bit in Lightroom and not a dealbreaker. 10mm for $300, where else are you gonna get a deal like that for Nikon? I highly recommend.

I love this lens. I shoot with a Nikon D3300, had to update the firmware for this lens. I use this lens primarily for landscapes but have taken some unique close up shots with it. It will focus at an 8" distance from the subject. I would recommend this lens to anyone.
