I have been using two highly automated Yuonguo strobes for about 18 months. They are a perfect copy of the Canon 600rx and will even work with the canon. I paid $57 for each. If they last two years, I won't fell bad about throwing them away.
How durable are this? Like does anyone of you have this for long enough to evaluate flash bulb durability and stuff?
It would be nice to see some sample photos taken with these units.

Hey guys I just bought this and I really like it but I must be doing something wrong with my Panasonic GH3 because it only works well when I set it to automatic. Specifically, if I set the camera on any other setting besides automatic, the TT 520 flashes before the camera can actually take a shot. Does anyone know if this is a simple fix that I need to be aware of because when I have it on automatic that's fine but I would like to do other settings on my Panasonic gh3.
Note: your dslr does not need to talk to this flash, and it won't. Your menus will say "incompatible" or some such. That's fine. Just press the shutter button and it will work. I love this little flash. Cheap, good gear is hard to come by.
I just bought the Neewer TT520 for my Canon T3i from Amazon. I mounted it on the  camera's hot shoe, however when I try to adjust my flash settings, I get the message "This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off." Do I need something else so the camera will recognize the flash?

I have three Neewer TT520's that I regularly use with my Canon T3i and love them!  And they're VERY durable.  I dropped one unit from inside the bomb bay of a B-17 straight onto pavement.  A few plastic pieces popped off (cover for IR sensor) but were easily put back on.  Still works great.
I bought the Neewer version of this flash for my canon Eos 1100d because Amazon claimed it was compatible. When the flash arrived I soon discovered that it is not compatible. Have you used it with canon Eos 1100d, and if so how? It seems to me to be a waste of money if it is not fit for purpose. Please respond so I don't have to fight with Amazon regarding replacement, compensation and advertising standards!

I don't have a dedicated flash, however I can take a guess at no, it's not as 'good'. They're full manual flashes , meaning you have to do all the settings, there is no E-TTL , the only communication between camera + flash is when it is told to fire. The GN of these flashes is less than the branded flashes, however they are powerful still. Recycle time is slower than branded. BUT they are 15% of the cost. They're good for the price!
And does it work just as well as the canon or nikon ones

The flash only works with Manual control on the camera. so you have  to set the settings on the flash. overall its good value for money or also good as a back up in weddings.
