I'm a college student from Florida, and I'm studying communications, I'm trying to get a job in Radio once I graduate; but, in the meantime, I'm trying to purchase a microphone to try and do something on the side to make extra money. For example, one thing I would really love to do would be get a side job narrating audiobooks for money with Amazon audible So I wanted to ask: "have you ever used the a mic called the CAD U37, and (if yes,) do you think it's a good microphone? K, Hi! Ur video is helping me a lot these days! But I have a question that I would like to ask. Basically I'm looking for a usb mic which Im hoping to use it for voice recording and of course I'll be doing some mixing and mastering using another software. And because this is a condenser usb mic, I'm thinking to buy one. Do u think it's enough for what im doing? I'm just literally gonna do some home recordings.

What boom are you using for the stand
This looks identical to the vaunted monoprice 600800. I've seen it suggested they are the same mic and visually at least this confirms it. Nice that mxl gives you a carrying case.

*I used to record music and have worked with some condenser mics in the past. .Typically, they are either too hot or too expensive. This mic hits the sweet spot for price to performance.I got this one for recording audio for short videos and maybe a podcast or two I love that it comes with a shock mount, and man does it sound good! It seems as though it's focused enough that it doesn't pick up on as much background noise as other mics I've worked with. It carries the bass very well, and it feels only con is that it does not come with a spit/pop protector, though those can be found cheap enough.*

I shared a clip of this video with my studio tech class at SFI. I cut it off at: "Since some of you won't let me say PI!" I told them I cut it off at "pinto beans".
Been using this mic for the last 5 years. It has never let me down and continues to output excellent quality.
It doesn't seem to take care of the ps and ts though
What did you run this on? And what do you recommend running this on on a tight budget?
The softer the shock mount, the better the vibration isolation. Just saying. A stiff shock mount transfers all the impacts like if you're not using one. A tight cable from the mic to the mounting arm is also an issue. Always leave a small loop of cable at the mic. Otherwise, just mount the mic to the arm.
