Great detailed video! Question though, does anybody know if we can just reuse the same bearings? Also do we have to have that thick grease when putting the bearings back in, or can we use a standard lube? Also, how can I figure out what kind of axel I need should this be the problem? Input from anybody smarter than me would be appreciated lol.

Tbh you dont need to take off the free wheel after u take off the nuts and bearings from the side were is no free wheel you give it a tap with a rubber hammer and the axel comes right out
Could you put a longer axle onto a hub as long as you use the nuts and washers already on the hub

while it's a small pain, I keep old beyond-use wheels for spoke-scavenging. if for some reason I don't keep a freehub wheel, I do salvage the freehub off of it; it's easy to do, doesn't require much storage space, and it's handy to have known-working spares.
So how did you remove the freewheel hub?

The new Shimano hubs are absolute junk, stick with the older Deore ones, LX(SLX with steel axles.

Hello what to do if the qr skewer is still loose?
gud day sir ask lang po ako sir stock fork ko po hindo po letter C ang drop.out nya bali close po letter O po plan to upgrade fork na C ung dulo pag kabitan ng hub.. . mag fit po kaya ung nut type na axle ko naka kabit sa hub sa fork na C ung drop.out.. .? sakto lang po ba sir maikabit po ba bali wala po akong plano na e convert to qr baka masayang ung fork ko na bibilhin online.. .? tnx sir.

Nag convert narin ako ng solid axle shaft to quick release ang na encounter kona issue ay yung mga nuts and spacer na naka lagay sa QR shaft ay di compatible sa stock hubs ko kaya ginamit ko na lang yung nuts and spacer na nasa solid axle shaft
