I have new Fox 34 forks and I turned the blue compression knob all the way to the right. Iy will not fully lock out. I push down and it goes down about an inch or two. My Fox 32s all completely lock out. What wrong with the forks or am I doing something wrong?

Is okay to ride down trails at half lockout I have a coil fork but is it okay cause I want that bit of stiffness with the compression.
If I ride (say a downhill trail) locked out on accident will it damage my fork? I did it by accident and there was some very big jumps and drops on the trail

I run an Ibis with a DW Link rear, no need to even think about using the rear lockout. And I have a bar mounted lockout for the front which is mainly there to stop the front bobbing on climbs.
Does lockout gradually change the suspension or is it binary (rigid vs non rigid)?.
Few years we dont have this complicated suspension we can still do stuffs without this

Oh damn! I didn't realize you were supposed to lockout rear sus for fire roads etc. I'm pushing the max weight limit and actually returned my fully and swapped it out for a hardtail because the ride was too saggy and I was afraid I was going to break it XD. oh well. maybe ill lose some weight and look at a fully again.

I’ve done some downhill sections with my rear shock in medium lockout. I’ve come to a conclusion that I prefer this to fully open as, dolly said, gets more grip and in a way more planted to the ground. Would this in any way damage the shock if I kept it medium open at all times?

I think you have installed it the opposite side... The frame of the new fork should come on the front side...but now it looks like its on the back side... But really gr8...was luking for a solution for the really hard front forks....but seems to be an expensive affair... Thanks for the video in educating us...... 👍🙏
