I know this video is old but are still using this crank in 2020? or any long term feedback about the crank set?
I really like my crank set. I upgraded my 3x8 to 1x11 and I had no issues with mine. I ride green ways and light gravel paths. No rock hopping. It's served my purpose.
Just put this on my old Cannondale F5. Very nice budget crank.

Mine came in Chinese newspaper too lol. So far, after a few months it's been great, all parts were included. So much better than stock on my 2020 Boundary. Had to re-index though, no biggie
It's normal for stuff from china to come wrapped in foam instead of a box. Saves in cubic meters for postage. Helps them ship to you for a cheaper shipping price

Yes I brought the ixf crankset kit (black) it turn up in a brown box with a lot of Chinese newspaper and bubble wrapped So far cant fault it had it for 9 months

In this crankset I can put a 36T 104bdc disc together with a 22T 64bdc to have the two speed options

Looks good. That's not first gear you are showing. I think it down shifts while back pedaling in 1st stock because the derailer is not long enough.

Great review and build. Probably the best entry bike for beginners. Great build platform for xc or trial. Tons of customization potential very hard to beat.

Also to save some weight and make a big performance jump I'd go with a rockshox air fork. Should be able to find a judy or a 32 for around $200. Suntor also has some budget but legit air forks. Not trying to beat you up, but those bucklous (sp?) Forks have some pretty concerning reviews all over YT. If you're trying to trail ride that bike I'd be real careful with that fork.
Microshift advent x drivetrain is even more cost effective than the jg bike kit. Also has a 48 tooth and is lighter than sunrace.
Color logos on your tire go on the drive side of the bike. (Opposite the brakes) easy way to get your rotation correct...
If you pedal backwards in 1st gear. Does your chain drop a cog or two. I was thinking of doing a 34t upfront

How are you liking the 2.4R/2.5F? I was considering doing the same. also, I'm might do some testing on the wheels thinking it's the spoke that is weighting the wheel down and not the actual hub.

Nice. The the tubeless was probably easier on the Axum because the rim is wider. Also just a tip: when installing tires the rotor has a directional arrow on it so you can match the tire arrows with the rotor.
