Electrical Discharge Machining: in this process the material is removed by the sparks generated by the electrode here the electrode works as a cathode and the workpiece work as anode. We have used DC power for this process. The whole assembly of tool and workpiece is submerged inside dielectric mediumElectrochemical machining :here the workpiece and tool are submerged inside sodium chloride electrolyte. Due to the current flowing through the electrolyte the hydrogen from workpiece gets deposited on tool cathode and the remaining metal forms the slag which gets filtered with electrolyte.Ultrasonic : in this process we use high frequency ultrasonic tool along with abrasive slurry e mixed with water which vibrates with high frequency and low amplitude and this removes the materialLaser machining in this process the laser beam which is concentrated by Ruby crystal is used to melt and evaporate the material thereby removing the material it can be also used on non metal alsoElectron beam machining High Voltage cable is used along with magnifying lens and deflection coils to concentrate the electron beam which converts kinetic energy into heat energy thereby removing the material the hole electron beam tool and workpiece is placed in vacuum chamber so that the energy e of electron doesn't get lostWater Jet Machining: high velocity water jet for soft material or water and abrasive jet for harder material is used in this machining The main advantage of this process is its eco-friendly very precise machine shapes are obtained by this process.
