Nice to watch.I am also in the habit plying on flute.sarfuddin one of the best brand.punam is no doubt superb.being ur brother from Pauri I would suggest u to always keep watch on ur lips while placing them on blowing hole in order to avoid hissing sound this much.God bless u.This is always good in life to have a habit like this.

As an expert flutist out of India, I can assure you that Sarfuddin flutes are much better. Mr. Subhash do not use a professional tuning device and makes the flute by ear. He boasts with this, but the tuning of the flutes he sent me were not perfect. They were not too bad, but not perfect enough for professional playing. The tuning of the flutes that Mr. Sarfuddin sent me were perfect. Also they have better sound and tone. Mr. Sarfuddin uses darker and older bamboo. Tastes differ, but I think these older bamboo with some black patterns look better. People who praise Punam flutes are either amateurs or experts who review flutes made for them with extra care.

Punam flute are charging extremely high cost. In video I can see you feel difficult finger spacing. I hate suppliers who are charging money double or three times and they don’t care about ergonomic.

Just bought One of the makers flute you are reviewing n couldn't visit him in person as I live abroad n it's over tuned if it makes sense. As u say go in person to pick flute. Just cos its a famous maker doesn't mean its gona be bang on for everyone in my opinion. The problem is I have few flutes of average cost n I have to keep rolling it in n out to get tune so I m struggling to play in tune even with this famous maker. Could it be me?
Hello sir, I had some questions regarding buying the Punam flutes that should I buy from Amazon or from their official website. This is because they are not engraving name on amazon and because there are some negative reviews on amazon Second: that how do I know that this flute is perfect or damaged? Third: does the flute have some dents or marks on it due to insects and if it is do they damage the tonal quality? Hope you would help

As an experienced flutist from Turkey, I can say that Sarfuddin flutes are the best. They are far better than Punam flutes. Punam costs more than twice.. However, the flutes I got from Punam was not tuned properly. They weren't very bad, but they were not precise enough for professional use. Mr. Subhash Thakur admitted that he doesn't use any tuner. He makes the flutes by ear, so tuning is flawed. Subhash Thakur scrapes of the shiny outer layer of the bamboo with sand paper. This is very bad! The shiny outer layer contains glass and slica, which make the flute strong and sound better. Mr. Sarfuddin's flutes are perfectly tuned. Tuning of Sarfuddin flutes are as good as Boehm flutes. He uses older, darker bamboo with some stains. But old bamboo is stronger, more otantic, and gives better sound. Also he keeps the shiny outer layer of the bamboo. Trust me, Sarfuddin flutes are better. Unfortunately, their marketting is not very good.

I want to buy E base flute as my guruji suggested me...so should i buy Deepak Soni flute ? I want an accurately tuned flute with decent tonal qualities and no distortions/hissing/cracking sound... Or wait for 4-6 months make my budget and buy kanti or deegambar flute ? Plz guide me 🙏

If u want to learn seriously then just go for punam flutes..It will cost a bit high but initially u have to buy just a c middle flute for rs 2300 approx and u will be habituated to perfect Sur...Don't buy deepak soni flute..According to me just go for punam flute..It will b really an investment..I have tried this

Mere paas bhi deepak g ka flute. Hai c# d# aapne jo kaha ga ma and pa.high scale bajane ke liye .. dikat ata hai.mujhe laga tha .. sayeed mai hi baja nhi paa raha hu. Aapki videos dekh kar pata chala . Tune mai hi prablem hai. ☹️☹️☹️
