Steven Mann This review is cool and all but can we all acknowledge that the commercial with the kid comparing the Microsoft surface pro with the MacBook is extremely annoying? Especially since the ad always had to pop up when I’m trying to freaking watch something!?
I like how Microsoft made a video comparing the surface pro which is a TABLET to an Apple Mac book pro which is a LAPTOP.
Do not buy. Had two of these. Overheat and monitor burns out.

I want a surface pro with a dedicated graphics card, removable storage. So were half way there! Microsoft and their $200 per 256gb is getting old, why cant they just buy a bunch of Samsung 970 evos in bulk and get a discount that way they can pack in 1tb of storage for under $200

Please don’t buy any surface products, software has many issues, they update it regularly, whenever new updates comes the system fails in many other hardware things...for me in last update and the keyboard and mouse stopped working...customer service is worst. Doesn’t worth the money we pay to those people!!!!

Are you in TX? Noticed a picture.. either way i have a problem deciding for my tablet. Its either ipad pro (3rd gen) or the surface pro 7 (i5 8gb ram) and would use this to edit photos, browse, occasionally art drawing and some light video editing. Id prefer full OS since IOS is troublesome for me although i use iphone. Just ready to see what might work best for me but budget is $650~ . Cheers and great video!

Hello, I have purchased a Surface pro 7 like almost 2 month and replaced the product once due to overheating while charging and also working for more than 2 hours, So my advice to you NOT to buy surface pro 7 and after service is worse. I also found that my second replacement is having the same problem(overheating) and I can not connect my any bluetooth device like earphones or speakers. This problem does not exist on my older surface i.e. before replacement. I have purchased it for study and also for office use. Even the battery is not up to the mark it can't last long for half a day. SO AS MY HONEST AND FAIR REVIEW TO YOU IS NOT TO BUY SURFACE PRO 7.

The surface pro is a great device, however the detachable keyboard is really bad, the edge deteriorates in a very short time. Also if you had an issue with the device, you have to return the unit to Microsoft and they do not repair the unit but just replace with a new unit. Creates a lot of practical issues with restoring backups, installing and configuring by your selves all your apps and dealing with licensing issues on the new device. Its a real pain in neck device when it comes to after sales services.

No flickering screen....yet....maybe their progressing in spite of the sealed unfixable "chuck into landfill" ethos. SSD soldered onto motherboard ?? Data recovery? Vot??? dont bother - you should have backed up to zee clowd every nanosecond fool.. Really???

I am planning to buy a new device for my work, previously I was using MacBook Pro (from 2017, or maybe 2018), Now I am still very unsure if I prefer to buy a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (i7) vs the MacBook Air 2020. I mostly use my portable device for emails, Netflix, browsing, normal iPhone photography, some XL & Word document reading, and some creating, downloading movies and watching them later Also I did purchase many years ago an iPad with the stylus to take notes, but the Mac mobile OS was not a good laptop or desktop replacement So not too much computing needed, I am leaning towards a tablet, due to the comfort and also the portability, but not entirely convinced I can replace my Mac laptop with the Surface Pro 512MB, 16GB, i7 Would you be able to guide me and advise me please?
Everyone wants the surface pro 8 to look like the X. What most people don't realize is that it's just not possible with an Intel chip, apart from marginally shrinking the bezels

I notice in your use of the pen, that you take care not to touch your plan to rest on the screen, so it must not have any palm detection. That’s one plus to Apple.

I have had surface products ever since the Surface Pro 6. The Surface lineup is actually what I moved onto when switching from the Mac. Although I prefer the sleekness and refined look of MacOS when compared to Windows, to me Windows devices are just different. Take for instance the Surface Pro lineup. You have a hybrid desktop that offers both functionality and portability. The device offers enough power to mow through any workflow you may have on the go. Although the screen is not the best and isn't meant for gaming, you can definitely accomplish a lot when it comes to Microsoft Office tasks and Web Browsing. When watching videos from youtube or Netflix the speakers are great and the typing experience on the type cover can make any typist more accurate. What I love about the Surface Pro 7, is the portability and productivity I can achieve from the device when on the Go. If I leave my hotspot from my phone on, I can literally work from anywhere. I like it better than a laptop because of the options to either use the type cover or the onscreen Keybaord, but let's face it I would definitely recommend getting the type cover.

For £740 with a i3 processor without the keyboard & pen is rather expensive. If you want a half decent model it's going to cost yah £1,400 and that's still without a keyboard & pen. I'll pass thank you.

Nice review.. Can you use it as a tablet? meaning to put it on your lap or chest without getting skin burns? I have a mac pro laptop that burns you alive if you touch it to your body.
I've had this computer for around 5-7 months and overall not the best when I'm in a zoom meeting my teacher keeps on telling me to show my face, but I can't because I am short and I can't tip my computer screen lower. Also, the battery life sucks. (2.5 hours until dead).
I own one and it's actually great. I already have a gaming pc so this is a perfect machine for movie watching and light on the go tasks and even some light gaming
