from September 2017 with the phone bought in December 2016 its perfect no frame rates and using Microsoft Edge for Youtube is really good quality.

Lumia 550, as June 2016, works fantastic with the updates released.

I am cheap when it comes to phones, you know I need basics of the phone maybe some browsing and skype, I had many cheap phones like ZTE, Acer, other Chinese crap and this Lumia. It caught my attention when u said this phone built quality is good. The phone uses thinnest cheap plastics in the world and only support it has a thin aluminum plate on the screen, the motherboard is basically floating inside the phone, back cover cracked on the second time removing it. If u squeeze corners of the phone it will freeze, flicker, restart, turn off, stuck in boot loop and all kind of weird shit. NO, this phone is not good built quality. Only positive though I have about this phone is that it died super fast and I move on.
Had this phone. Just sold it. Its a VERY RUBBISH PHONE OVERHEATS AND DOSENT SUPPORT MANY APPS. CAMERA IS TERRIBLE

i live in a smart home and i cant connect Alexa to my hue or life x smart plugs and lights, i know thats a big problem. when i bought this phone i thought i could download apps on it. but no i have to use my parents phone for all my heating lights and home apliances. this phone also keeps crashing and the camera isnt as good quality as i would like, 720p is sh~t for a 150 pound phone and only 20 fps. the storage is small as well only 7 GB, i tried to vlog my holaday which was a 2 week holaday and my phone started smoking, if you live in a hot place, dont buy this phone. the battery life sucks, only lasts for 50 minutes and i have to charge it for 3 hours rubbish. the response time is rubbish and you cant put a background on this phone. it also takes forever to load up apps. it took 30 seconds point 5 to load up the camera app which is sh~it. Cortana cant seem to pick up my voice, i said what is the time and it searched what is the lime. over all its a 0 out of 5 stars. dont buy this phone, just buy an iphone 5 its the same price but better.
I got my lumia a week ago the phone is performing well as well it was a good experience with windows 10 , I have an android but i really like windows and it offers a lot of things , the most important thing this is a phone for someone who dont need so much from phone just for internet access ,email,facebook, skype ,youtube ...ect otherwise dont expect so much from a phone with 80 Eu you want something for games and more put your hand in your pocket .
Apple can go to hell, overpriced Chinese made, Microsoft Windows phones are made for MORONS to buy, they are utter shit. I literally shot a Widows 640XL with a shotgun, absolute crap. STICK TO ANDROID.

I really need a cheap and reliable windows phone. Is this a reliable one, with performance and all? This one uis within the budget. I already owned Lumia 630 DS which is okay, that with Snapdragon 400 and 512MB RAM. This one I don't know
wp phones are great, reliable, stable, fashionable, it is just that google has better implementation of inbuilt ads (google play) and so more money on advertising its OS (it is not that android is better, it's not. gogle just made more people think it is).

The phone was cheap enough to buy as a camera only. But, shortly after purchasing Windows went to war with YouYube. I found I could get nice flicker free recordings of a Windows Laptop. Then, no uploads in the Video Format. Then I Kayaked right under this Bark Eagle, was bent over backwards, and flipped the Kayak. The Lumia did not survive Salt Water. No A Bit. I think it did turn on one time. Now, I will but it for Parts.
You can get this phone with price of 80e even here in Finland probably getting rid of stock.

I have lumia 532 cheaper variant but I never faced any of this experience.... All the horrific thing happen to this poor reviewer... :) Anyway I am more then happy with cheap nokia in term of connectivity, battery,  snappy and works hassle free... I won't recommend Lumia to anyone since.. You seriously need to be into it... to like it and respect what it can do and what it can't ..

I have a Lumia 630, a Lumia 550 and a Lumia 640 and can confirm that only the Snapdraggon 400 equipped Lumia 630s  and Lumia 640s are powerful enough to run games. The Snapdraggon 210 equipped Lumia 550 struggles to even play a simple game such as Jetpack Joyride.
How is this phone compared to 540 ....
