I just now ordered the meinls cymbal pack with a 13inch hat 10inch splash and 16inch crash. i already have a 12inch Wuhan china which is a great china with a great loud spikey sound to be 12inch. And my 20inch zildjian zbt ride cymbal. So I hope it will all work out good. I love your bids man. Nice video! I believe the 13" has less decay because the smaller diameter hats have less weight, and therefore play a little "faster." Just personal opinion!
The cymbals I use on my stage kit are all B8's and I've been more than happy with them.. yeah, they don't sound as good as the AAX's or any other high-end cymbal, but damnit they do the job! I recently just had to purchase a practice kit and I had a spare 17" B8 and 18" B8 that I'll be using with it and I was so happy with my 20" B8 that I bought a 2nd one to use for the practice kit along with a set of 13" Meinl HCS's. Can't beat the sound for what you spend!
im not sure. one thing i did want to ad in the video is after a while of playing on it i noticed that the decay isnt that great (it was 40 bucks tho) but i havent gotten to get anything new yet. and i have read alot of mixed reviews on the B8 hi hats. honestly if you have an opportunity to go to guitar center you can set up the hi hats and try them out. NO CYMBAL WILL SOUND THE SAME. keep that in mind when you shop and dont be afraid to pass on something that doesnt feel right.
im not sure yet that is something i wanted to look into. they say the 13's are a little more rock sounding, in the end tho its what YOU like and the sound YOU want. i love my meinls and cant say anything bad about them.

I have the 13" meinl hats too. In my opinion I think the 13" hats are better than 14" hats.

I saw Larnell Lewis using either these or some extra dry hats. they sound kinda similar. I bought a pair and so far do not regret it

@GeorgeWattsDrums what a BS comment. If you play metal try Paiste RUDE very articulate and great sounding cymbals fot metal.
The Sonor logo on the toms kinda looks like the one on the Special Edition Beech Infinite kit, which I don't think they make anymore. But on the other hand, I'm not even sure they made those kits in any other finish than white, so it's probably not one of those. I'm guessing medium/thick beech shells, or possibly maple.. at least that's what it sounds like. As for the mics, it seems like they only use two overhead mics, with a surprisingly good result

if you're playing metal may as well just buy some b8s
not for modern metal music. most drummers use 22" crashes, 14" inch hats, etc. big dark sounding cymbals AS TO blend.
