How does the Cyrus compare to the Blade? I stupidly got rid of the Blade and want to know if it’s similar. Or maybe the Persuader is the way to go. Love brass snares.

I bought one 1,5 years ago and I am still happy with it. This video was one of the reasons I bought it so thank you! After watching this vid now I realised I need a thinner reso to make it more sensitive again, probably a 300 hazy. The current 500 makes it a bit dead.

I bought one new recently...very nice indeed. Unfortunately, discontinued now, so get one while you can. Great for rimshots and all music. For a maple snare, it has some metal sounds to it, which is why it’s so versatile.
I'm a bit of a Tama fan boy but this is one of the best sounding snares I've heard

I play this snare more than five years already,and after all these years and many other snares I used I have to say-this is the best snare to me.High tuning is cool for punk and hardcore music.I love the sound with hi energy drumhead from aquarian...Really good snare!
I also own this snare. This is one great snare drum. Well rounded sound suitable for almost any style of music you would want to play. Tunes quickly and holds its tuning extremely well. The shells finish and bearing edges are impeccable. The throw off is fabulous. Hard to beat this snare at any price.

Excellent tuning and playing as always, Shane, Mapex lists the bearing edge as: 45 Degree Center-Cut Bearing Edge. Am I correst in assuming that the peak for the edge is in the center of the 6 plies. If so is it a round-over, or sharp cut like a Spaun drum? Anyway we can see pics of the edges in these vids? Thank you, keep up the great work.
