Great review. Can you recommend a similar tripod that also has the advantage of a panning head. I enjoy taking panoramics but with this head that's not going to happen.

I was waiting for you to see how yours pans when taking panoramas, I found mine to be useless as when you lock the ballhead it’s near impossible pan. I came across another photographer in the Lake District and he said exactly the same as me. I ended up buying another ball head that had an independent pan function. Otherwise the tripod is great.

you are using a lot the 17 40 f4 as i can see on your vids. Is it really that good at the a7ii with the commlite?
It takes a payload of 4kg so will be fine with almost any DSLR combo
I have one and I like it. Just one little criticism. The ball and pan lock with a single knob. Separate locks would allow panning.

Nice tripod. Have the same one. Works pretty good but bit light when using my D500 and 80-400mm lines. Feel the live version would be a step up. Also wish ball head had a better friction adjustment.

Thanks for the video, has helped me decide this tripod is not for me. Too much of a faff to put away, quick release plate needs an action when fitting the plate to the head ie move the lever out the way, other makes just press in. The balance of stability/weight seem to far in favour of light weight although your review did not demonstrate it with a camera. And the leg angles seem limited to preset positions where other tripods allow intermediate positions when on uneven surfaces, digging a spike into the ground, this tripod does not appear to have spikes either.
