Check out my video on the Titanic dataset - I think you'll like it your video. Buy kindle edition to reduce some cost of ownership
Can I read the second edition without reading the first edition?a
is still recommended for 2022 ?
What book would you recommend that has every example in C++ instead of python? Also, what book for just the high level theory, without using actual coding, that could then be adapted to any computer language? In particular, I want to be able to write neural networks in C++, because then I can essentially create C++ bindings that I can use in any language - for example, creating binding languages in Xamarin, WASM, etc . unfortunately, python isn't portable enough, yet I can even use C++ libraries in embedded devices that use the Zepher RTOS, such as Nordic's nRF5 SDK etc. Great review, btw!
I confirm everything you said.
I think 90% of people who wish to learn anything significant, or anything even moderately complex, should learn it top down. Abstraction->details
I just made to thru chapter 3 motivated learner as you described. I went thru a few crash courses on python but am loving it!
Absolutely not!
Read ,, An Introduction to statistical Learning" from Hastie, T. et al (2021) 2. Edition
Hi Giles, I have been watching your channel for quite a while now. I have started reading this book in order to learn more about ML. I am now starting with chapter 3. But, I have a question and it is that "How do I use this book in the best way?". Just reading is not enough (after reading 2 chapters and not writing the code), so, I think I should start writing alongside the chapters but that will take a long time to finish each chapter. So, I was wondering who has read the book before, he might be able to tell what is the best way to go about learning ML through this book?
Thanks for posting such good reviews and resources about ML and python!
Hope you will see this comment soon! @Python Programmer
I want a bit of advice. I was planning to get started with ISLR 2. But, this book is also great. Which one will you recommend to get started with?
Note: I'm really motivated enough to learn machine learning.

Hello sir, I am in my college days and so I am a beginner . Just gone through Andrew ng lectures of MLon YT and cleared the basics. For sure I will take his deep learning course as well.I wanna know that how to understand deep learning better as beginner because I am planning to build a project on that which is not too comman like handwritten recognition. What will be your suggestions for beginners like me because I also want to know the math behind ml and dl . Which book should I consider to buy? Also I wanna ask for some suggestions on DL projects like converting a old image into colorful image will be a good project or not .I have only 3-4 months or probably less than that to make them? Any other suggestions are welcomed.
I started learning ml and cs since 5 months ago. I now doing helps a lot that is how i learnt writing logical solutions in programming. But i am kinda ground up type of learner and i need to know the big picture of the subject in this ml. I could not find a book that clearly connected everything important in ml.
This is the book for me now. Downloaded few minutes ago and i already love how he has mapped everything in ml. Hav started reading it. I probably will learn more in a day of reading this book than I did in months of exploring ml.
Ps:- I cant thank u enough. Now i hav the broad view I needed to start hands on projects and everything.
Ordered the book. Expected in next few days.
am buying this book .
Hi Daniel. What's your suggestion for anyone who wants to get familiar with python, especially numpy? I'm new to numpy so just wanted to know what resource would be best to get a good amount of practice. As always thanks for creating these type of videos. Happy learning!
Make book review for math in ML.
I’m a recent CS/Math grad that has just watched youtube videos on ML & read parts of a couple online books, but I’ve never directly implemented ML myself so still consider myself very beginner with understanding it, so when you asked ‘What is normalization’ I kind of said it in my head and was happy when I was right haha
Thank you a lot about it. Could you share us some useful github about machine learning from beginner to advance. Thank you
Awesome as always. Your explanation of a what a data scientist is perfect. I’m happy that the book covers all those topics.
Great video as always. I have been reading this book for while and just in time I found your video
I just got this book 2 days ago .
Great review, Daniel, and the article as well. You have made a gigantic work with this review, including the written blog version: Book review Brother. Can't Wait for the Next One You read and give a review.
I've seen this book promoted in several machine learning YT channels. This book is getting popular very quickly.
Have an iMac arriving tomorrow. Looking forward to coding on something other than a 13" laptop screen lol.
Picking this book up too.
make sure the video is over 10 minutes so you can get an extra advert in and I can give you money just by watching your great content!
Sounds like a good book to review ML or get an overview of the field
I love your content, thank you!.
Thanks!
Did I miss any? What are your favourite data science and machine learning books?
Is this book for beginners?
Awesome and thanks for the video
Remake the video with new list of book?
Hi, can you recommend a deep learning book for beginners?

How do you feel about using a kindle to read some of these books considering they can be graphic and color and text intensive?
no wonder why his voice sounds familiar. I am doing his course on Udemy and its worth it. So good explanation.
Greatly appreciate you sharing your reading list, so to speak.
Thank you so much for that
Gift me that data analysis book

Introduction to machine learning with python? Is it good book?
Hey Daniel, if you don’t mind, can I send an email and ask you for some information about a career in DS and ml and how the job situation in Australia is
Reading is learning. You are correct about that.
are freecodecamp certifications worth it, for the new python courses that are out there?
I have "Python for Data Analysis" and "Hands-on Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow". Other book I recommend also "Python Data Science Hanbook" the author is Jake VanderPlas.
Thank you very much for introducing . Your desk looks really nice.
