the mohagony gives it the deeper well rounded sound. I have played and owned over 15 guitars, Martin, Taylor, ect. and luna is great, I have a gypsy spault. great sound and feel, sorry but the little smile faces on the dragonflies, not getting that one. rock on!

Saw this model at my nearest guitar center the other day...I am utterly in love with the feel, sound and look of this model. Definitely going to look into getting one of these!
I played this guitar at our local GC and by far it was my favorite sounding and best playing guitar, but i was concerned about the looks especially as I'm a guy. Do you think the guitar is too girly, i don't want people to be distracted or be confused by the dragonflies.
$299 through 14th Oct 2013 during Guitar Center's Columbus Day sale. Picked one up on Friday and love it. My first electric-acoustic, so a big step up for me. Love the built-in tuner and the XLR output. The waxing and waning moon fret markers are a great idea, and of course those dragonflies are what caught my eye.
I lowered the action on mine and now there is a slight buzz.

I second Wrath on the sound. I did not dare jump into the highend room lol but to my ears this was the most lively and full sounding guitar under $1500.
This video doesn't showcase the sound of this guitar NEARLY as well in person. I played this at GC alongside alot of other guitars including Martins and I honestly liked the sound of this better than the Martins, which is crazy for the price.
@speedlefartmachine I would like to see $300 but would need to adjust the price if you arent local to cover shipping costs. I dont know what it would cost to ship. let me know how interested you are.

Such a stunning guitar... how thick is the neck in comparison with say a spanish? I have a hand me down Dean from my brother and the neck is extremely fat width ways, and also really thick. My small girlish hands have been trying to kick B minor's ass for weeks now and it's still a struggle! Cheers :)

On these two models, the only difference is the desigh. One is an abolone phoenix and the other is an abolone dragon.

@heliatt1 The Fauna Dragon will be with us a very long time. Regarding the electrics, we plan to reintrpduce the andromedas with much improved ergonomics. Hope this helps :-)
this is going to be my first acoustic electric guitar as well but... will they be taking it off the market anytime? im wondering this because i also was going to buy the andromeda dragon electric but that was taken off the market =\

I was browsing guitars on Musiciansfriend, and I stumbled across the Luna brand...the name just caught my eye. These are some of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen...from amazing inlays to brilliant artwork... I expected them to be all-look-no-quality. I'm glad to be proven wrong, and may be buying this very guitar in the near future...
