Have had these speakers for 9 years now, but always been dissapointed with the bass, even though its set to max, the bass response is poor when listening to music. only thing ive had to repair on it was the power supply. Would say the bass response on the z313 2.1 system is way better.
And to mount then on the walls, any option? i am checking to chamge my creative 4.1 speakers because of the cable lenght and to check if there something new to upgrade, to my surprise there is not a lot of options on the pc market for 5.1 and everyone is now selling headphones and 2.0 speakers. 🙄

Logitech is very basic speakers Or sound quailty If your going to dump $200 - $300 into a system look else where even if it means more money Every model they come out with Has something lacking one model lacks Bluetooth When other brands have it Another model says 1000Watts And been tested by many for a max distorted 500 peak Loose connectors inside many units Speaker only plays when you wiggle the wire Etc I have bought many Joysticks from this company years back only to find Cracking plastic And failing controls only after 20hrs of use... Surround sound....plastic casings = oxymoron

If you want to use these on a console with optical or coaxial you can get a device on eBay for $20-25 called 'HD Audio Rush - Digital Surround Sound Decoder' - This device accepts 2x optical, 1x coaxial and 1x 3.5mm stereo jack connections and will decode Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1 and Dolby Pro Logic 2 and will output the sound via 5x Phono output so you can use them on PC speaker systems like this Logitech one.

The sub can get booming pretty good from my experience if you crank it up
My Logitech Z506 system worked great when they were new but the front right speaker quit working last year, it's also the one that has the power switch and volume knob. All the other speakers still work so I'm assuming it's the full range speaker itself. Also, those speakers are full range, there are no tweeters at the top of those small enclosures, those holes at the top look like ports that let lower frequency sounds out of the back of the enclosures.

owned these speakers for 9 years now, and one issue i find is that the bass is just not what it should be. subwoofer is constantly set to max setting to get any sort of decent bass out of them.
you might need a new mic to record the music better
Bass is good but has plenty of noise..
FYI, for those people who want to use 2.1 channel stereo mode on this (connect multiple devices on this at the same time) then you need to switch the centre speaker to mono audio else you won't hear the left and right channel sound

I have this exact same system. It really is a great budget system, I currently use mine as a PA. Plenty loud! I have had mine for 5 years now and still running mint! However I noticed 2 of your speakers have the new logo their putting on this system, and the other 2 have the old logo. Why is that?
