it does still work on windows 10, ive been using this webcam since mid 2009
I recently just got a Logitech Quickcam Pro from a Flea Market for $10 and it's does work on Windows 10 with Microsoft's Drivers. As for the Camera Test on the Quickcam. I thought you were going to do a test with 640x480, not 320x240.
I have a 2005 Quickcam Pro 5000 that works well with the default Windows 10 driver; you just don't have access to the digital pan and zoom features. My video quality is far superior to what is shown here.

mine worked on windows 10 but after I sent my pc to a repair shop for a problem it had, it stopped working

Hey there! I've been looking all over the internet today for drivers for this very camera and came across your video. I'm resurrecting my old windows 98 SE machine and somehow lost the installation disc for the software. So far every version of quickcam software I've found has been too new or too old. Could you possibly tell me which version came with your webcam or perhaps upload the .exe to Google drive for download? I'd really appreciate it!

We had one of these, I might still have it in my electronics junk box. They were crap.
1999 was the year "American Pie" was released in theatres and that film had a scene involving a webcam used to stream someone's sexual encounter online. This was certainly an era when this started to be a thing.

I had one of these around 01 that I found here in the US in a Walmart bargain bin, and while crap I used it on Juno/NetZero/Netscape(yes AOL used the Netscape name/branding for a budget dial-up ISP) 56K dial-up(I would switch based on who was giving the best prices, and access #'s at the time) with services like Yahoo chat for video chatting for a few years. I no longer have mine, or I would put it on one of my Manjaro Budgie Linux machines to see if it works with the Linux, and something like Cheese video capture software, as most Logitech webcams I've tried over the years have worked out of the box with them being UVC(USB Video Class) compliant, although depending on the model they can produce low frame rates, and/or poor lighting no matter the software settings, or lighting in the room. My other brand of video cameras I've gone too when Logitech wants to act up with a Linux kernel/Distro have been Microsoft Lifecams, and they work just about as well oddly enough, in fact most Microsoft hardware does well in Linux lol!

As with DSLRs, the pixel count has nothing to do with the camera video quality.
Highly recommend you light your tests well before recording (especially important for the side by side real world example shots). Any camera will only show its true potential in those circumstances.

tbh all the downsides of the C920 are big downsides, like the bad microphone or no lenses protecting from scratches, plus I don't like how the C920 has a better field of view, of course if you move a lot it's good but it just feels odd, idk, I think I will stick with my C270

I have a cheap little Asus Chromebook C201 that serves me well, especially when travelling, but the spec.'s don't list details of the camera so would the C270 be a big upgrade in video quality are hardly noticeable? I appreciated this video review and think for the price, durability for travelling, and what I'm using it for the C270 is the better choice for me right now but curious to get your input on how much if any video quality I'd gain by using it for Zoom calls. Thanks!
