Nice review. I have an IPEVO PoV webcam - it has the macro that the logitech doesn't. Performance is lower in lower lighting, but I never use my webcam without light (it's bad for your eyes). Plus, I think a $39.99 webcam's more in my budget :-p

@jimdog1964 I do use the built-in mic. The editing software I use is simply Windows Movie Maker. I have experimented with different lighting because I can't always be here to film during 3 -4 pm when the natural light is best for shooting. Most of the lights I use are a tad too yellow, but I'm still working on optimizing that aspect. Thanks for the inquiry.

The lens cover slides around the sphere, not down. I could do another video and show it with a mirror!
I think we have almost the same webcam. My Logitech webcam originally didn't have those filters but a software update added them. Does yours have the lens cover that slides down so you can be SURE that the webcam is off?

Mic is not working on Windows 10
The video sample that showed here was over a year ago. And I agree because I also have that cam more than a year ago And I got the same result. But NOT now, after updating the this cam is now messed up. The motion becomes slow. I uninstalled and reinstalled the old version 8.1 but it won't go back to the original settings. The updates update updates messed up the webcam .

Thanks for your video. I was very glad to set up my older camera under Windows 10. This camera works but after about 2-3 minutes it freezes. Skype or Messenger, it doesn't mind. :( Have you got any idea ?

I wanted to use my Logitech QuickCam Fusion on Windows 10. After watching this video I plugged in the camera and it was fully recognized and all the mandatory drivers were installed automatically. :-D Thanks for this useful instruction anyway! My Windows version is 1909 (Build 18363.836). Additional info: was slightly changed. If you need to download these drivers, choose "Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Version 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and later drivers" which is 3,3 MB of size.
Thanks a lot! Logitech QuickCam Messenger (V-UBC40) works with generic "Logitech driver update for QuickCam". I unpacked both cab files separately to one folder, let Windows 10 choose including subfolders and it worked!
