Accurate mouse, good response. I’ve used it for 3+ years for gaming. And when you’re a PC gamer you know you get sweaty hands sometimes, the rubber grip on the thumb area becomes torn apart and blended in losing grip over time. You know when rubber gets consistently rubbed against and becomes all sticky and dirty? That’s what happened, the only real con to this mouse
Get a cheap wireless gaming mouse instead, I don't recommend this thing for even office use. If you need a mouse with precise tracking, defiantly don't get this. Try 203 instead if you don't care about wireless connection.

I use this mouse for fortnite (don't ask) and I love it!
As a personal owner of this product, I have to say that this is the first mouse I owned that offered the thumb forward and back buttons & the side gestures included in the scroll wheel. On top of that, It's more comfortable than the average default mouse you may get with your computer. Edit: The price of this mouse is now half (and sometimes less. $21-$25). Conclusion: The M510 Control+ is a very nice starter to the Logitech world. I think Logitech makes some of the most innovative mice. I may go on to upgrade to the MX Master 3 one day.
I'm using this mouse for more than 5 years and it still runs like a champ. I even forgot how long ago I changed the batteries. I'm very satisfied with it.
Ive had this mouse for 2-3 years and the only problem ive had was right at the beginning (this is with frequent cleaning and almost everyday use).

if you're going to buy anything from Logitech, it's going to work regardless of ergonomics or anything like that, 50 dollars is a bit too much though, I got mine for 20
Don't buy this mouse if you use your middle mouse button a lot.

This is the mouse they had when I started working my current job. I've been using it for a couple months and I have to say as a daily driver it's pretty good. I wouldn't buy it at $50 but I've seen it on sale for $20 and I think it's great at that price.

Can you control computer volume with side buttons?
I always go into my Device Manager and uninstall the old mouse and drivers then restart my computer then plug in my new mouse after my computer boots all the way up. That way it is a fresh install .

I love it for gaming
i bought this mouse about 5 months ago and without fail, if i use it more than an hour or so at a time it loses its tracking ability. it starts moving erratically. of course i didn't take out the insurance or additionally coverage. i've tried new batteries & cleaning the little window with a cotton swab but it doesn't help. any suggestions? plz & thanks!

2019. The Logi M510 a great mouse with good software to control the 5 buttons and the wheel. But my office mouse which I use a lot started to double click after 3 years of use, and I've read that's a common problem, so I need to replace it.
If it doesn't say Logitech, I don't buy it. And I have 2 of the M510's and a third on the way.

I still use one from 2013. It has worked well until this year. Some people noticed that the original laser sensors were changed to optical sensors. My old M510 stutters now. Sometimes it locks on and sometimes it is unresponsive.
I love my m510. The damn batteries have lasted a year of gaming and still going.

I just got this mouse today from Walmart for $18 and it's pretty good!!! I love Logitech! I love Unifying receivers because you can connect multiple wireless gadgets to one receiver at a time which is a nice thing!!!!! ^_^
just got one and it stopped working after a day, going back and fourth from working to not working and only working for a couple of seconds to then stop responding

side-to-side scrolling how do you use it in gaming
The Logitech software (either SetPoint or Options if you have the newer version) is great. You can customize the wheel so that when you tilt it it does whatever you want. Tons of different commands for your OS. I have it adjust volume down (left) and up (right). When I push it gives me task view. You can also enable smooth scrolling I don't know if I like that or not yet. I use Options, only thing I miss from SetPoint is the "pointer acceleration" and "smart move" options. I'm not sure if both can be installed at the same time, very unclear on the Logitech site. I wish the would have named the updated one M510S or something to differentiate instead of just having a different model number. Great mouse. Using a mouse without buttons on the side (which can also be customized) to go forward and back on the web is now a pain.

I have an issue where it stops working! It's annoying and happen since day one! I've tried a lot of thing but, I don't know if the mouse came faulty. Some other people seem to have the same issue over the internet.

Thanks for mentioning the software with all the customization. Alot of reviews are missing that. It is kind of confusing on their site whether to download Options or SetPoint. SetPoint is older and I have the newer version of the M10 so went with Options. Being able to adjust even what the left/right tilt on the wheel does is great. And those side buttons for internet browsing also great. I do wonder why they got rid of the "pointer acceleration" setting for Options. I leave mine on all the time and battery lasts forever. Great mouse.
