I just bought this webcam in offerup for 16 dollars. I know that is not HD but I am grateful to have a webcam. Because of the quaratine, now schools are closed, and some people have to work from home. So there has been a lot of demand for webcams, and all the stocks in online and brick and mortar stores are gone, and is going to take time for new stock to arrive. I have tried looking for a used one, and there is plentiful, but they are priced the double, or triple of the regular price, so its out of the question spending so much money on a device that I will only use for a couple of times. I need a webcam because all the testing centers are closed because of the quarantine mandate here in california, so my only option is to take my tests online in my home. But for that I needed a webcam so that a proctor can be present.

@rYno1431 Sure. I don't see why not. You just have to adjust the settings to sound ok but I haven't had any issues with it.
do you think the audio will be suitable for voice-overs for youtube videos?
@rYno1431 Sure. I've used mine all the time for Skype calls and just recording sounds. Has a great mic in it.

Good demonstration Brad.I think it was a good idea to demonstrate the camera good light shows how good this camera can microphone seems to work very well too even outdoors.I think people would get a lot more from their web cams if they ensured the lighting is is key with all frontal light darker background and never camera facing light done.

My computer shows that it is installed and working in control panel, but I get a blank screen on Skype and Discord. I think something is wrong/broken with mine :(
total trash on my win 10 pc, works on my win 7 pc, the win 10 pc wont open cam and does not see it.

Thank you. This was super helpful. The page for support has changed though. I had to google it in a roundabout way. It doesn't offer you a choice anymore and so you have to get everything. It does look so much more clearer than my laptop computer. Pricing, its now $39 and doesn't require a ring light. Pretty good webcam and your tutorial was very helpful since there's no instructions on the manual.
Is there a way to cut the camera on/off? Doesn't look like there is a way to do that.
