I'm not sure how this comparison is relevant. You had the burst mode paired with single auto focus. Pair the burst mode with Servo ( Continuous focus ) and you'll see it slow down. Second. The EOS R works best with 64gb.

I recently bought canon EOS R . Amazing camera. this Is what exactly i was looking for . THANK U for saving money . bought UHS 1 of 2 cards as mostly i shoot 4K video (not C LOG) .
Great video! I shoot weddings on the EOS R and I’m about to upgrade to all UHS-II cards because while shooting in 4K I’ve had the recording stop too many times because of slow write speeds on multiple different cards and they are all high quality Sandisk extreme pro UHS-I cards.

What I'd love to know is if a UHS-II card writes as fast as a 90Mb/s write UHS-I card when the camera is only UHS-I compatible, or if its actually handicapped when being used with only the standard UHS-I pins in contact? Does anyone have any experience testing this??

Thanks for doing this. I always wondered what the exact limit was. I’ve been using the same 9 cards I had for the original BMPCC for CinemaDNG raw, 5DIV with 4K and now on the EOS R for 4K as well. Honestly, it’s a surprise investment seeing that these cards are still kicking 6.5 years after use through 3 cameras. I will only buy SanDisk. They make extremely reliable media.
Thanks! So basically the UHS 2 card is just for transferring your files faster. The UHS1 sounds perfect for most people. You save 100s of dollars. From the sound of it you only need the UHS2 if you have no budget and just want the best speed for transferring
