I got 10 oz and my hands hurt after. for beginners id recommend 12 14 or 16
From my experience when you train boxing if you do it almost bare handed it will condition your wrists but make sure you are not a beginner and dont punch the bag with all your power if you care about your hands. Or if you use big gloves, around 16,18oz it'll be harder 'cus they are bigger and heavier, they are usually better for sparring so youll protect your parthner's head and your hands too. I suggest doing both things, condition every part, train every part. Bigger gloves - increasing the punching speed/power. No gloves - conditioning the wrist.

I had been using 14oz for a while and just switched to 12oz. Wow, what a difference. I would say 12oz are now my favorite!

i mean personally i think the heaviest at a young age then lighter like 12 when ur about to retire but i would just stay heaviest 16 18 type i may go lower depending so yea heres the comment!

My personal favorite gloves for bag work ar rb10 rival bag gloves. They're expensive but worth it. Back when i didn't have a heavy bag, i used those on the hazelnut tree in my back yard, literally punching a tree and you'd think I just bought them. P.S. mine were a gift from my neighbor who found them at work while demo-ing a house that had burned down so they literally survived a house fire
I use 16oz for everything Sparring also
16oz for training and 8oz for kicking my brothers ass

as per my boxing gloves are not good for yeah if you are doing mma,boxing or kickboxing just for on for these gloves.otherwise if u r a professional fighter this gloves are crap for u .Fighters should go with everlast,usi,venum or lonsdale.

I saw in other videos that more padded gloves are used for sparring and heavy bag, so as to protect the other person while sparring and protect ur knuckles while heavy bag workout, but u said different.
