Hi buddy , I am very novice in boxing. Just bought punching bag last week. Plz suggest me which gloves size will suit me. I am 28 and hight 5'11, weight 76.
as per my view...Lew boxing gloves are not good for professionals...but yeah if you are doing mma, boxing or kickboxing just for fitness...go on for these gloves...otherwise if u r a professional fighter this gloves are crap for u ...Fighters should go with everlast, usi, venum or lonsdale.
Hey there buddy...Mma and wushu fighter here....5 times national, 4 time state and 1 time international level gold medalist
i am 15 years old , weight 55 kg which glove size should i buy pls give suggestion?
I saw in other videos that more padded gloves are used for sparring and heavy bag, so as to protect the other person while sparring and protect ur knuckles while heavy bag workout, but u said different.
The "Wolverine" is back with another vid for you guys, I hope you enjoy it!
I only have 10 ounce gloves right and something I have noticed a lot is when I have wraps underneath they are solid my hand is so tight in them and my shoulders definitely fatigue quicker, but without wraps I feel like I could go for hours I never really feel shoulder fatigue, in my opinion if you have wraps underneath all gloves feel relatively heavy on the shoulders, It just takes time to build up that shoulder endurance
Torn between 10oz, 12oz and 14oz but I'm lightweight and also train in mma so I got some 10oz gloves. Mostly torn on losing out on some of the knuckle protection, especially with one of the coaches using fairtex thai pads which are super frigging hard.
Thanks thats helpful to me, I spend most of my time hitting mitts so i think I'll go for 12oz. Do you think thats right choice?
Great video , what type of 10 oz do u recommend? I tried Maui Thai 10 oz gloves, very pillow like at the knuckles .. trying to find a well balanced brand
where can i get the old school boxing gloves
I stick with the 12s and wraps personally. Ik some people will just throw the gloves on by themselves but I havent tried that
What about grappling gloves
Where can I buy those brown 6oz gloves?
I cant wrap and cant be bothered to learn lol is there any good ready done wraps?
When you actually do a proper boxing fight what Oz gloves do amature boxers. Fight on. Does it come down to weight division. You are fighting in Or is it 10oz gloves
I do boxing but i wear mma hybrid gloves when not at the gym, its just feels better because i can feel my knuckles and make better fists
How about 8 oz boxing gloves?
I switch between 16 & 12oz gloves im slower but bring more power with 16oz, an for speed drills an technique ill use 12oz.
Everlast cleto reyes and grant the best gloves
10oz are my favourite
You tried the rival rb50?
Bro I just realized I've been using 16oz gloves for most of my training. Lol I guess I gotta get some 12oz
Haven't used a 10oz since I was 16. 10/12oz = heavy bag14+ Oz = sparringMitts = double end bag / 1 round heavy bag
I thought you arr cowboy cerone
Subjective opinion, food for thought! The opinion of my coach, being so fortunate, not, saying that he is correct, but serious food for thought! People always ask this! Credentials? Ok, he won an Olympic Silver Medal, as a heavyweight (doesn't matter), or lost the Gold in the last round, you pick. Obviously, National Amateur Champion. Went, 7, 0, 2, as a pro, the great Cuban boxer, that did beat him, for the Gold, went on to become world champion. He did have to leave Romania, wasn't safe, but thankfully came to Canada, switched professions, but chose to teach boxing, for next to nothing, if you contributed to the gym, suggested by his wife, a great boxer. Where else did info come from, indirectly? It was in 1976, he was young, obviously then, aged now, which does not mean washed up and at the medalist dinner, became friends with American Boxers, Raymond Leonard (Sugar, I know), Michael and Leon Spinx...too many to name. People think older, is washed up? Would you take affordable lessons for "Sugar" Ray Leonard, given age? I would! I don't think washed up, experienced, or knowledgeable, but I noted them, being in the same group. Criteria: choose leather gloves, double-stitched, moisture-wicking on the inside, if treat, not polyurethane, full attached thumb, 18oz, over 16oz, for sparring and bag work, if over 147, 16oz, over 14oz, if 147, or under. Velcro, is training, or amateur, Velcro, or laced, if more serious, but most are good with velcro. I did not know, that a former sports friend, became a surgeon! What! Question: what is the truth behind, "conditioning hands"? I was told to use 16oz - 18 oz, for bag work? Bones recover, but do not toughen up,, so think safety on bags, safety in sparring and hands are the most pathetic weapons, made of tiny bones and x-rays, shows tiny fractures, from "conditioning" hands, the idea, in his opinion, is just dumb and offered a different viewpoint. Other, then protecting your hands, if you use bigger gloves, you are protecting them and if you choose to go the pro route, not likely, you will just be faster, with MORE solid hands, not beat up hands. That is why many, that he treats and through research, needed to stop using Cleto Reyes, as pros, towards Grant, then Everlast because their hands didn't get tougher, they got damaged. This concept was shared by Raymond Leonard, to my coach, at the medal dinner, which went against all thought at the time, but when persons o that caliber and experience and doctors agree, there is something to strongly consider. To say, respectfully, that a group of Olympic Medalists, Successful Pros, Icons, and doctors have a different opinion, is worth thinking about and I think it was bold of Ray Leonard to state an opinion against popular thought. It may sound like I am sharing info, given to me, that is absolutely irrefutable, but this is not a C**K, measuring situation, of right or wrong, just options. I genuinely respect Aaron, I will never be at his level, ever, but that doesn't mean that I am trolling, or not a fan. This is really about safety, not being right, but if someone, with impeccable credentials, offers something, out of kindness, not sharing that, is being a D**K, not trying to be a D**K toward Aaron. All the best to all, be safe and like and subscribe to this channel...it is very good!

I dont seem to find 160oz gloves
I use 14 oz lol
its the weight not the size
I disagree! Hand size is a direct indicator of glove size.
I like 12oz... my hands are tiny
Great video! No shenanigans just good information, thank you so much!
Should yu use 10 oz gloves or 16 oz gloves for heavy bag
I'm looking at purchasing a bag - is the 100lb necessary for these types of work outs? I'm under 200lb so my gut tells me no.
I'm 5'8 I don't know what size of gloves to order
Exellent vedio.Full of information.
i just wanna box my friends for fun, what do i do
I'm a first timer, female and having a difficulty choosing.I see charts and they based it on weight.. I weigh 78kg and I'm 5ft on chart I fall under 14ozbased on the hand circumference I am 8 inches and that's 14oz toois that how you really based the size of gloves to use?I need help :3
0:48 me in Canada trying to buy the trackers but they dont ship outside the US
Thanks a lot. I got this figured out now.
I will rarely if ever use 16 oz again for my bag work. I used them for s long time nd im an amateur it totally screwed up my timing nd technique with the 12s. When i got the 12 after being used to loading up my shots with the 16oz i felt like i dont know how to box or punch! My balance nd biomechanics were all off. Now im starting again from zero to get used to the 12. Use 12 for bag nd 16 for sparring. Period.
Im 5'4. I use 12 oz gloves both
