Not bad for a 10-min overview of the big picture, but of course any such attempt could not be without many flaws... and I do mean MANY. In this particular try the most serious problem seemed to have been that differential equations should have been given MUCH more highlight (instead of receiving only a brief mention in writing... not even read by the author!). These days, c. 100 thousand new mathematical papers appear every year, with 70% or so having to do with differential equations in one way or another. So, although a good many areas found their rightful place in the author's map, there were MANY omissions as well, and the resulting map was out of scale. Still, not bad overall, since (as I said) any such map is doomed to have many serious shortcomings.
Hi, I'm 30 years old and left school at 14. We got some family issues that require me to start working and help my mom financially. But i was already not good at maths back then. i want to start studying maths again but i really don't know where to start. The only way i know how to use maths is + - x %. I think what a lot of people don't realize is that with math there is a lot of creativity involved. To conceptualize abstract idea's by thinking out of the box and coming up with creative solutions which express through logic a method used to create action. I am referring to programming incase my explanation may seem vague. Or a perfect example would be that portion of your YouTube video where the image is magnified and your taken deeper into this beautiful abstract image which folds deeper into different layers of hues of color, that would be a perfect example of math imitating art, or simple math and art being one and the same, thank you for the video.

Hi Dominic, here is a quandary that I am pursuing and trying to find out if anyone has the answer to! The question is this - 'Once a circle has been generated lined curvature and is complete! What is the formula to establish the point of origin and completion?' by simple logic and deduction I know where they are but cannot locate them! once a circle is completed before coming before me. essentially I am, looking for the formula that locates the beginning and end of the circle's path. they are always at the same place but never in the same place, and almost and possible never at on in the same location. I believe that knowing this formula would unlock a whole new branch of knowledge in our world as it could theoretically answer many puzzling issues - like time, existence, etc. If you wish to know more contact me back. Hey man, you pre cool and all with your map of maths but uh you might wanna check your trig again cause you wrote cos theta is equal to your opposite divided by your adjacent. The last time i checked it was tan theta that equaled that lol.
Not feel clear with the history of Math, cause as far as I know that Math has a lot of basic theory from Islamic Golden Century that unknowing of western people (maybe just because (idk)).
