Saya juga pakai bang, sampai tiga tahun tanpa masalah hanya memang betul harddisk nya yg 1 tb lemot banget setelah 3 tahun. Sudah saya ganti pakai SSD Samsung 500gb dan ram saya tambah menjadi 8gb singgle thread. Saya pengen memasang SSD M.2 NVME tetapi ternyata tidak support, processor pakai I7 yang lama. Oke bang sukses selalu ya. Salam dari Jogjakarta. Nambah GPU pakai NVIdea Gforce.
Punyaku i7 2tahun sudah lemot banget, udh coba instal ulang, tp ttp aja masih lemot, :(

Can you play games with this? I didn't watch the video so I don't know if it has a diskdrive but I have a usb diskdrive anyways, I would just like something on which I can play the sims.
Have a slightly used E530 with 5 gigs RAM and a 120 Gig SSD...and Linux Mint 17.3 64bit...8-]If you have used the overbuilt thinkpad's from days past you WILL be disappointed...I can flexthe lower case for example. The touchpad with no bottom bottoms is interesting in theory butI would get an external mouse personally. i would not buy one of these at new retail price.

How do you get the traditional Lenovo battery bar? Is it from the power manager? I have windows 8 and cannot find the correct download for the power manager. Do you have any advice?

the thing a review cant tell you about this is the high durability and reliability, of which it blows any other laptop in the market out of the water

How long the battery lasts?
While I don't have this model?...(ThinkPad T-410 / T-420 / T-430 / T-460) the models I DO have?...are still alive and kicking!...and I find it amazing that while the newer laptops coming out are all sleeker, lighter, and faster?....they're also not exactly environment friendly!....if you consider it, someone runs out there to buy a middle-of-the-road laptop, and they get something with 8GB of RAM, that's soldered on, and an i5 maybe, they also get something with a 256GB SSD. And while this kind of device might be ok for just connecting to the internet, accessing emails, watching Netflix etc?...because there's no way to increase the RAM.,...or swap out the CPU for a more powerful one....then they're instantly limited, and after a few years of usage, and the usual buildup of files in the Windows "temp" folders and such...they l;eft with a machine that's weighed down by trashy files and folders and not much else. The more people can extend the life of their devices the better it is for all of us....less metals, less plastics, less wasted precious metals, and you get the advantage of being able to say you own a piece of history...LoL!

The issue with the ThinkPad Edge series is that the components were trash. Sad but true. There were lots of stories back in the day about keyboard and ODD failures. My Edge (either a 13 or 14, IIRC) never had those go wrong, but the display was a monstrous pain in the nuts. It would randomly go extremely dim and stay that way, sometimes until 2-3 reboots later, and the speakers died on me. The display cable wasn't loose, the speaker cable hadn't fallen out, just bad hardware. It took me until 2016 to give ThinkPads another shot, and I'm very glad I did, but I avoid the E-series (which is what the Edge morphed into, more or less) like the plague.

There are 4 primary classes of laptops:1) Consumer2) Gaming3) Business4) WorkstationAlthough consumer and gaming laptops are flashy with nice features and good specs, they're built to a bare minimum of quality. Even an expensive gaming laptop is going to have parts that fail, and fail quickly. The only options for those in the know are business laptops and workstation laptops which will not fall apart on you after 1 year of use.

Or do you go with the "Buy It Now" button, when available of course? Also, I think your idea of cloning the drive (or just replacing it) and then having the original to reinstall before you sell it is very smart. That's something I've never thought about. And I'm very interested to see how your "living in Linux" experiment goes.

Hi,Can I know what are all the special keys starting from F1 to F12 on Lenovo E41-80 (like sleep, turning off display, tracking mouse pad enable/disable, airplane mode, speaker, mic etc) used for?I have installed Ubuntu on the laptop, and few special function keys aren't working.So, if anyone is using Windows on E41-80, wanted to know what all those special keys do, if it is possible to use all the special function keys on Ubuntu.Thanks in advance.
How to change keyboard of this laptop
I stopped watching right when I saw that they switched the Fn and Ctrl Keys! I mean why TF do all manufacturers do some Sh*t with the keyboard? HP with its tiny half-height up-down cursor keys, and Lenovo is doing this. I'm pissed with modern day laptops. Good review though. Please keep it coming.
