Still lighter and thinner than my e450. omg... HDD, USB 2.0, thick, heavy.. my Huawei Matebook X has spoiled me so much! How about e490s? Looks much better Does this have Microsoft office Pre-Installed? Are the speakers any good? Just ordered e480 almost the same specs as t480 at half the price it was on special now it’s 1500 bucks think I did pretty good considering it’s for study and everyday use but think its going to take awhile to get to me Screen resolution please Screen resolution please I purchased the E590. Intel Core i7-8565U Processor (1.80GHz, up to 4.60GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 cores, 8MB Cache) 12GB (4GB + 8GB) DDR4 2400MHz. I swapped out the 500GB HD for a SAMSUNG 250GB SSD. I love my laptop. Everything you said is spot on!!!!! Is this the laptop? why is it so cheap?
https://amzn.to/2Rl3BsT I bought this model few months ago:
i7 8565u, 16gb 2666mhz, RX 550x,
512gb SSD NVMe, 2TB HDD. I got it for myself, final price 1100€. For the trade-off you’re talking about, you can get a huge amount of internal specs, and that’s not bad at all if you’re the type of person that babysit his laptop like I do.
I personally love this laptop and quality/specs ratio is super satisfying to me. The Lenovo website contains conflicting informations about the USB port.
In the "Tech Specs" section they state that the USB port on the right side of the notebook is USB 2.0
In the section called "Ports / Slots" they state that the port is USB 3.0.
https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-e-series/E490/p/22TP2TEE490 So all your USB peripherals are USB 3.0? I'm not saying that USB 3 is not backwards compatible, but for example, if you use a wireless mouse like I use most of the time, what's the point of occupying an USB 3 port? Of course, if that USB port was 3.0, it was better, but to say that you would rather not have it, is wrong.
Anyway, nice unboxing.
