GOT UPDATE TO ANDROID 10 in DECEMBER 2020. Thanks for your reviews, Andrzej, both your Youtube videos and the written ones. You're very informative and helpful. For anyone interested, my recently purchased M10 (the very basic X505F model as in the review here) just got an update to Android 10. It had 8.1 out of the box, immediately updated to 9, and now has Android 10 which runs fine. It was a nice Christmas 2020 surprise, because I expected this tablet would stop at Android 9. Definitely get the 32gb model if you can. My 16gb is nearly full just holding the operating system + some basic apps. But I got an SD card too, which works fine to expand the memory and can be set up as shared internal storage space united with the space on the installed memory or as a separate storage drive. It accepted my SD card immediately, with no problems or lag playing video files directly off the SD card. (I set it up as a separate drive). + + + Other plus factors beyond the affordable price: it's solid enough, runs well, has hassle-free almost pure Android, and like someone else said here, has a slightly matte-finish glass screen. The screen surface is so nice to view and touch (I get tired of screens always being too shiny and too glossy) that I'm gonna be extra careful and NOT put on a screen protector, because the matte glass screen is just so pleasant to use. For cases, the Moko brand you can easily search for and buy online fit this tablet great, are well-made and stylish, while being inexpensive. - - - For the negatives: even the Android 10 update didn't resolve the Netflix issue (you still have to watch it in SD rather than full HD). For me, not a problem and Netflix installed and runs fine and I'm happy enough with SD video, but for people who really want Netflix in HD then this tablet isn't for you. It's also a slight pity the tablet has only 2gb RAM; that's really the very bottom of being acceptable these days. It's ok for me as I only surf, read e-books, and watch videos (and the tablet handles all that smoothly with no lagging or freezing or sudden app closing down)...but for hardcore gamers or even anyone who does heavy word processing/photo editing I'd choose a different tablet with more RAM. Also -- and this is a very minor complaint -- but I find the position of the charging port and headphone jack almost right on the corner to be a bit odd and fragile. Having those so near the corner makes me worry they're more likely to break than if the ports were more centered on the unit's side. But not really a big deal. Things that are neutral points: cameras and battery. I can use it fine it for video chat and even used the tablet for a virtual job interview with no problems. But I know this tablet's cameras aren't the best and would certainly just use my phone instead if I wanted to take high-quality pics or video; I don't look to my tablet for high-quality cameras. Battery (4850 mAh on my model) is not the biggest but the processor/power consumption seem well-managed so it lasts quite a while. (And, honestly, these days no one is leaving home much or going on long trips). All in all though a good tablet, for a certain type of user looking for something reliable and inexpensive. I know I pointed out a few negatives, but I really like the basic Lenovo M10 and rate it highly: an 8.5 out of 10 rating for me.
