Hmm, got this laptop last year my gaming experience is choppy and terrible with the +8gb extra ram upgrade and as a boot drive i updated it to an nvme SSD 256gb from Samsung that has good reads and writes. The laptop I got has an I7 8750h which is better then the I5 despite the same GTX 1050ti 4gb Graphics, My gaming experience is awful in World of Warcraft shadow lands or Diablo 3 and Fortnite. Something isn't right i am taking this device to BestBuy Geeksquad to check it out! Amazing review you got my comment and Like!

Stay away! Lenovo is the biggest fraud and scammer in the computer industry. My Lenovo Ideapad S540's body deformed in 9 days. And they refused the change the laptop with tons of funny excuses. It is the worst laptop I've ever used. And if you buy Lenovo, you are all alone with no customer support. I am just warning you guys. I am sure "only one person's" comment is not very important but please check trustpilot reviews before buy Lenovo. please give me the G3 (refresh)or Lenovo Y540 with i5 intel, GTX1650 Nvidia , 8 gb ram , 1TB ssd. My major concern is thermals and display.

Hi i have been using the most basic version of this product. It is quite an impressive machine for its price. The screen is actually as bright as other Lenovo laptops but it doesn't appear bright because the screen is matte. Lenovo needs to bump up the brightness a little bit. Also, this is more of a content creation laptop than a gaming one. Works great with premiere pro, Photoshop, Keyshot (3D rendering software) and ofc all other 3D softwares. The screen can also give you a headache at times. I just use to on night mode all the time. Its helps with reducing the blue light.

im watching a review of the device im using to watch. lol. but srsly if you get the highest specced one, with the i7 n the Ti its awesome for the price.
as someone who has been using this for almost a year now. it's a great laptop for everything you can use it for, it handles any games. the heat and noise management is pretty good, it's not so flashy, the storage is pretty okay. the battery could have been a lot better but since i game using the ac charger i didn't have much issue on that, the laptop is fabulous for less hardcore gamers and even students.

Does dust and other "stuff" get trapped on the lid things. The indent lines or whatever its called? I realllly want to buy it, but so scared of ugly dust and "stuff" building up in beetween those lines on the lid. Pleasse answer

Great laptop, i just purchase an i7 like a week ago.
Actually I'm a huge fan of the design. Was looking for something affordable that can get my jobs done and play some AAA games when bored but without boring/distracting looks. Got the i5-8300H with 1050 Ti, removed the HDD & the Optane, put M.2 SX8200Pro 1TB + new pair of 8G RAM and using it for my work at the office. No bling and powerful (enough), indeed. The fans always kickin' 100% for 1 or 2 sec every now and then even when idle kinda annoying in quiet office space but after some time I kinda grew up on it. Brought it to some meetings (I'm a Network Engineer) and people was like 'wow cool laptop man'. The LED on the back, man it's cool. It's subtle but enough to 'say' "hey I'm an engineer but I know gaming stuff" without distracting RGB Ports on the back made my desk looks neat and tidy. Camera placement is a nose cam and not a very good position for skype for business or zoom or any video conferences, but hey it's there you can use it if you need it. The soft touch material is nice for a few days before it gets smudgy. Keyboard is quite nice to type though not the best. It's powerful enough for anything I worked on it and looks good.
A lot of info in one breath :-). Please recommend me a proper SSD drive brand of say 512 GB to upgrade to from 128 gb, which is in my sons preinstalled version? I understood it can be replaced with a longer SSD right? OR is there even space for 1 tb SSD? Is 16 GB Ram sufficient did you say? Regards D

Bro should i go for this or a asus tuf505dt, both have 1650 and same ram and ssd but asus have ryzen 5 but does i5's extra price signifies the performance ? If i go with the asus i will get a 120hz display and between ryzen 5 with 1650 and i5 with 1650 how much of a performance increase is seen? And what is the battery life of both (which one is better and by what margin)and what is your opinion about nitro 5 with same spec?
