Hi guys! Do any of you know if Lenovo ships from US to Mexico? It’s way chipper over there :)
If your theory about why Lenovo put that logo on the lid checks out, then they aren't a company that I'd do business with just on principle. Because basically what they would be doing is crapping on the Legion 5 Pro owners for the sake of flushing people to the more expensive laptop. It's a contrived means of degrading the product for the benefit of the company at the detriment to the consumer. I mean, it's their prerogative to do that but it's mine to flip them the finger and give my hard earned $$ to a competitor with a bit more integrity.
I don't mind the logo being there tbh but I do mind about the reason for it being there.
If just normal use like watch youtube hong longw can the bratty last
Are you saying I can use a 230W adapter from my previous Legion 5?
thanks a lot man, I just gotta hear what you say abt this one before buying it.
Would love to know how the 300W works. Would it constantly supply 300W? i hope not? I wonder if i can turn the wattage way down when not rendering or doing intensive tasks? I live in a sprinter and run 500w of solar through Victron Energy gear, so very efficient, but it can get cloudy sometimes. Besides that, i worry for ignorent people using excessive amounts off power with no idea in the World about what they are collectively doing! As for these crypto mining farms
I really wanted to like this laptop. But the trackpad you described just might be a "no go" for me
Most relevant review I've seen for this laptop. Thanks.
what are the games featured in the vid?
The logo is a "Y" because the Legion series is the successor of the IdeaPad Y series. The first of the Y series were the IdeaPad Y710 and the IdeaPad Y510 notebooks. When they rebranded their gaming line in 2017 the IdeaPad Y series became the Legion series. The first laptops under the Legion name were the Y720 and Y520. Now they dropped the "Y" and the numbers became single digits: Legion 7 and Legion 5.
But the "Y" logo could be shaped like this on purpose. Lenovo explained why they chose the name Legion: "Just as the Roman army shared a common purpose that bound them together as a force to be reckoned with, Lenovo Legion is all about our growing community of gamers and their passion for gaming."
The intro was designed from mobile legends character Franco, right ? By the way do you play ?
How much dollar?
How much RAM tops? 32gb or 64gb?
Thanks a lot for talking about user experience, but to me this heavier chassis is clearly a plus. Enough of slim laptops that fall appart after 2 years.
2.5kg is heavy? boi tell that to my helios 500 :(
in my opinion. this laptop is best. without any flaws. all those things about touchpad. they can be changed within second by setting. disable them, change them. disable touchpad while mouse is active. lots of settings.
This laptop is like a transformer. I don't know how they do it. but it is so great in performance and looks. Display is top notch.
Who is here after watching clutch web series of dice media!
Never considered Lenovo till now
I bought the laptop and when i play valorant or minecraft it gets realy loud. Do you guys have some tips for me cuz it gets really hot when it should be able to handle these games easily
How much worse is the version with the 3060 GPU?
It is disappointing that Linus does a review for a product under sponsorship of the same company. I honestly don't think this is ethical for a youtuber with a significant reach.
Try to get support or warranty fulfillment from Lenovo once and you will never recommend or buy a product from the company again.
I'm thinking about buying one by selling 2 out of 2 kidneys of yours .
Lenovo Legion power connector is terrible, goes out under warranty they said it was inside of the machine. Then sent it back with the same problem. Now out of warranty. Now bought another 3rd party charger, now that is going out. Never had this problem with my 2011 10 year old HP Elitebook. Should I bite the bullet and extend my warranty or buy the factory charger?
I hope it comes with a OLED display next yr
Does anyone know if this 'Legion 5 Pro' supports DDR5?
Him: “Not a lot of base but it’s a laptop, let’s be realistic”
Apple: “Hold my beer”

Legion 5 Pro or Strix G15 G513QR?
Legion = R7 5800H/RTX 3070/WQHD 165 Hz, 80 Wh battery
Strix = R9 5900HX, RTX 3070/FHD 300 Hz, 90 Wh battery
Legion has MUX switch, webcamera, higher quality screen, higher brightness, 10W higher TDP on GPU and more ports.
Strix has better battery life, higher screen refresh rate, better portability, better keyboard and trackpad, slightly faster processor, better speakers.
I'm traveling to work quite a lot, and the portability and battery life means a bit, but the webcamera also does. I do both editing and gaming, so the Strix will be better for rendering, and the Legion will be better for gaming. Legion has slightly larger screen and higher resolution, which is nice when editing (and gaming, but will impact performance). Strix has 300 Hz refresh rate which is nice when I play CS:GO!
These two laptops are so good at countering eachother Which one would YOU go for, and why?
Everything is fine until you check that it will take almost 5 months to reach you♂️

Hi. One of my concerns is weight. Is this laptop portable or too heavy to be carried around?
Bro please recommend me an RTX and ryxon 7 gaming laptop under 100k
I have the RTX 3060 version of the same and believe me, the laptop is an absolute beast of a machine! For those wondering between the 60 & 70 version, ive been doing a lot of stuff on the 60 one like video editing, Gazebo simulations and much more and the 60 handles it with ease. So if you have more money to spend on, no problem but the 60 is more than enough for any task provided. Lenovo killed it this time!

Really heavy? Cmon man, it weighs less than 3kg, how can that be heavy? Its heavy only for babies.
Delivered my 5 pro yesterday. I noticed that there a lot fan noise while playing games. Is there any solution to reduce the fan noise?
It is a bit biased that you did your tests with 1080p whereas standard users will want to use that WQHD screen
I personally find the logo more subtle than the old word LEGION branding - average people don't know what that logo is for and see it like generic apple etc branding.
It's a disappointing the camera privacy shutter feature isn't there by default on all models, and lack of any option for a CD/DVD drive is common nowadays but a bit of a bummer for me using this as a combo work/game laptop. They're also now offering a pre-built model with a RTX 3080 but no option to install that chip in a custom-built model.
