saw this at 500 today, but have seen several reviews on it getting very hot. Lackluster display, and cheap parts used indicating that they break often. Poor cheap rubbish by lenovo so it appears.

Look at 7:59. There is a second undocumented m.2 slot right below the main one. It takes a second NVMe or SATA SSD in the shorter 2242 format and works as long as the first slot is also occupied. No guarantees it works in every 530s, but it certainly does in mine.

Performance wise I was disappointed. It can't even handle its measly base speed of 1.80Ghz without throttling down to about 1.5Ghz. If you're doing more than watching media or basic office application work then I highly recommend you avoid this laptop. Gaming? Unless it's farmville or emulating old school stuff it's poop. And the battery life leaves much to be desired.

i use a i7 one. i notice that whenever I use it in a AC room, i can squease 4 hour out of it. If i'm not using ac, with the temperature of 28oC, the battery goes down every minute

I have this laptop. It's a complete and utter rip off for the price. Lenovo are going the way of Apple. Proprietary torque screws on a laptop? Go fuck yourselves, Lenovo. EDIT: "Some thermal throttling" - This is a massive understatement. It can't even run one core at its rated speed. It's pathetic. 5-6 hours? You're lying your ass off.

How is the price?
i bought the model 530s with 2200U, it do not look the same inside, it got single fans but dual ramslots. But i dont understand the design of the fan, i hate it to be honest. I think Lenovo could do better then this, also pls let us allow for the computer to run hotter before the fan comes on. I have tried to set the settings in powerplans to like 30% of the cpu speed but fan still turns on.
