Loved it as an affordable upgrade to a 10 yr old high spec Dell. It has aged quicker than the Dell, but that's pretty normal these days. Looking for a new laptop in 2020. B50 is absolutely fine, but for doing increasing graphic work and play it struggles. The cd tray is and always has been absolutely garbage. The tray sticks on eject. Also can't read or states disc error.
This is like toyota starlet. Cheap, reliable and runs forever.

I got this for my wife a couple of years ago. It came with Win7 with an upgrade to Win8.1. This is the AMD model (B50-45). She complained almost from Day 1 that it was slow. So eventually, I got her an SSD and installed the 8.1 discs, and still, too slow. So recently my brother in law gave her a used Dell with an SSD and W10 and admittedly, the Dell is much faster than the Lenovo was. So now it's mine. So first thing I do? THROW UBUNTU MATE AT IT! (for Science of course). This thing now runs soooooOOOooOOOooOOOO much faster then it did under Windows (didn't try 10 on it as I just refuse to use it on principle). She's happy. I'm happy. The only thing I just never can get used to is that stupid off-center trackpad. Man I hate that. Dear companies everywhere. PUT THE TRACKPAD IN THE MIDDLE! There are those of us who are touch typists and having it off center just messes up the flow of things.

I have this one but with 8GB ram and GeForce 920m. It is very good laptop for work and for gaming. Im playing Mortal kombat XL and nfs most wanted and GTA 5. Slim design is very nice but as you said speakers are bad but I think that laptop is very good but my cost 600€
