Lp aspire congas & bongos sound professional to me & way better but these have a vintage worm sound & not too bad if looking for that.
you will have a hard time finding head replacement for City series bongos.. (Based on my own experience)
How did the city series compared to the Aspire series I'm new to congas

They are OK but love my LP Aspire congas sound along with my LP Giovanni galaxy congas crazy but true!!! LP Aspires have better sound at least to me!

Lp aspire congas are better then these! I now use LP Giovanni galaxy congas love them even more!

I love Meinl because the mid range cheap ones sound as good as more expensive brands, for people like me who are not 100% percussionists (I'm a guitarist) and like to touch to other instruments, Meinl is very good, very good quality for the price.

Hay una diferencia abismal en sonido, cuerpo y volumen.Mejor lp galaxy.El sonido de los armónicos congas meinl y lp aspire suenan como roto sonido desagradable.
First thing is the player makes the sound.Second thing is tuning, third is the type of heads used.This applies to almost all drums....
I abide by that quote: average player+average gear= good sound. So no pressure. When you get better you’ll ear the difference and will invest in better équipment.
Eric , thank u so much for this vid. Retired and on a budget so gotta go with wat is in my price range⁉️ Back in the day put together a 20 piece PEARL KIT when I had more money than brains. It’s beautiful / still got it , in storage as I got no room to set it up / & too sick to play it unfortunately. Gonna start with a mini conga / & maybe a set of bongos/ that should be enough to drive the wife crazy. All ready threatening me & I haven’t even got them yet. Hey dude, can you do a video on these super expensive congas from independent companies?? and are there some rare mega expensive congas like a stradivari of congas ;))
I closed my eyes and could tell the expensive ones are "warmer" sounding. Does anybody else notice that?
i think you have got those cheap drums nailed matey. shove a couple of tins of cherry blossom boot polish on the heads and you will have them sounding like rolls royce etc.

it is what it is, it takes a good Conguero to bring out the best sound on any given Conga. to each his own.... NO BIG DEAL..
Who cares! Just PLAY the congas!!!
