Is it just me, or do those sound like tablas?
They are tuned to an _extremely_ low pitch. You would have a much more lively sound if you honked them way up. Listen to bongo music - you coan't get those great pings unless you tighten them to the point you think they might burst - but they won't.
can i replace the macho head with a remo 6.75 fiberskyn? using default rim i cannot. What if i can buildup a new rim on my own? it should be possible?
Tune them bongos come untuned specially the small drum youll hear creeking but have no fear the small head should be tightened til you struggle to turn the pegs the bigger drum should be tuned to harmonize with the smaller head though much looser by the way you are playing them in reverse
lo estas usando al revés, ademas de estar mal afinados y no usas la posición correcta de las manos para dar los golpes, por eso saca mal sonido

Lp aspire congas & bongos sound professional to me & way better but these have a vintage worm sound & not too bad if looking for that.
you will have a hard time finding head replacement for City series bongos.. (Based on my own experience)
How did the city series compared to the Aspire series I'm new to congas

I had these & they don't sound bad. They have the professional vintage bongo sound to them. I am not against LP Aspire bongos, but for my style of playing now prefer LP Giovanni galaxy bongos. For entry level bongos these are the best bongos you can get that don't sound entry level but professional.

I saw this one at the local music shop (Hoffman's Music, Unlikely you would know what store that is it's nowhere but at where I live it's a local shop) I saw that pair over at that shop and I'm getting it for christmas. I'm glad I got to hear what they sounded like
I like mine, they sound great and the steel rings are much sturdier than the similarly priced bongos from Gon Bops or even Matador. Looks better without the ribbing too. Pretty heavy though.
they're not compleatly made of wood, are they?
