I just got one of these a few weeks ago, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. It sounds a lot more realistic in real life than it does in this video though.

I have this LP Laptop Conga, I didnt like them at First, the sound was very Muffled or muted, I could Not get the tones I wanted out of it, I continued to play it, Until I realized, playing this Conga on your Lap, Mutes the Vibration of the Bottom Panel of the Sound Box, the Bottom Panel gets Muted, a Lot of the Good Tones are Muted out. Playing on a table top also Mutes the Bottom panel Vibrations of this instrument, as anything that touches or comes in contact with the bottom of this conga STOPs the Vibrations of the Bottom panel in the Sound box. I put four 1 inch diameter stick on feet, one at each corner, this plays much better on a table as the Bottom panel is allowed to Vibrate MUCH more and the sounds are MUCH improved. I think a strap that could go around the neck and shoulders attaching to the side mounts so that this could be played while standing would also make sound Much better as the sound box could resonate Much Better, producing a higher quality Sound. A Drum snare, stand that only contacts the four outer corners of this conga could also work, this would allow the inner and center area of the sound box to resonate for a higher quality sound
A review at amazon.com says the LP laptop conga is made of plastic. Is it made of wood, plastic, or some of both?
The LP Laptop Conga will fit in most snare stands.

Que tal el cuidado del instrumento con respecto a la temperatura de exposición. Vivo en Canadá y las temperaturas aquí son inclementes para los instrumentos! Hablando de deformación de la madera! Que tal el instrumento para conservar las afinaciones?
En tu opinión: ¿es un buen instrumento para aprender a tocar? Me gusta su tamaño y su volumen controlado (para practicar en casa) pero dudo si es la mejor forma de aprender la técnica

Super. Me lo regalaron hace poco y es ideal para practicar en las horas que no se puede hacer mucho ruido y cuando viajas y no puedes traer las tumbadoras. Además ayuda a pulir los golpes ya que pa sacarle buen sonido hay que tocar los golpes casi perfectos. Lo recomiendo
