It's pronounced 'neepex'.
One of those craftsmen pieces of crap wasted a whole afternoon for me trying to get a ring out of my Land Rover power steering box (in situ). Will get the Knipex thanks - too bad no stores carry them that I can find - so will have to wait a few days. Those Craftsmen's are sold everywhere under different brand names at a wide range of prices. AVOID!

My main gripe with knipex is the pn being printed on the grip and nowhere else. As a professional technician, getting them filthy and cleaning is an almost daily cycle. The letters wear very quick and if you ever do need to warranty, which I recently did I had to resort to googling the pn so I could get a replacement. Also, knipex directly has terrible warranty service so your best bet if you have 1, warranty through one of the tool trucks. I usually have the best luck with Matco
Thanks for the review, I've been looking at getting these. Im glad to see they hold the snap ring very well. Im tired of those interchangeable ones where they get misaligned and send snap rings flying.

That was a great demonstration of why they are worth the money. We all have struggled with shit circlip pliers, the multi function ones are the worst. It isn't the struggle to get the circlip off or back on again, it is the search for the dam thing that has pinged off into the "empire of dirt" (copyright AvE.)

NEVER NEVER NEVER Spend money on this tools I worked for a company that buy lot of tools for the maintenance department and they bought us this set of 4 snap rings,they say life time warranty ,the tip of the mostly all the set we use got broke ,we send them back to the company to get warranty replaced , we receive a notification that they do not go to do the warranty exchange because the tools where modified . A course if the tip got broke on all the pliers they are differents from the time that where manufacture and they are very expensive . If you want good tools get Wiha Circlip pliers Magic Tips

Hey, my name's Darrell, and I just subscribed to your channel. I absolutely agree with you, quality tools are so much better and faster/easier to use than the lower cost alternatives. I was a professional auto mechanic/technician all of my working life, and I soon discovered that cheap tools aren't actually cheap.
