I put some 6.5 ds kickers in my Harley and people were telling me how crisp and clear they sound . Check your wires you probably have the positive on the negative side and the negative wire on the positive side LOL

Hearing a lot of distortion, those front speakers are bigger, so yeah, did you look into impedance/ohms or anything? You don’t wanna just throw max 300w speakers in, I know this video is old but for anyone looking for speakers trust me on this, kicker makes good subs and speakers but their current 5.25 ds’s or whatever are $70, JL Audio C1 are $90 and if you get them from classiccarstereos you’ll get $10 off, so for a $10 difference u can get 5.25 speakers rated for 50w rms per and even on a stock amp or just powered off an after market head unit they’ll sound great, you gotta add some kinda sound deadening too, I’m building a track e36 w race door panels and Porsche rs style straps but guess what’s awesome while racing? Music!

Possibly they were talking about the two main types of circuit setups: Series circuits - meaning one path for current to flow. Parallel circuits - more than one path for current to flow

Alpine sounds cleaner. Thank you again mike. I am going to install a 5 channel Infinity REF 4555A or JBL Club 760w and put the Alpines in. I want cleaner power on my amps even at 90% volume instead of added distortion that comes with insanely exaggerated peak values on cheap amps that start adding distortion over 50% volume. Your videos are very helpful. Like another guy said your channel is great. Thank you for what you do mike.

what all u dont get is he didnt adjust the crossovers so 3db might be great on kicker but need to putit on 0 or 6 db to match the current apline sound. kicker has the amps n subs n alpine has decks n speakers both great

Serious issue with your testthose should be in some sort of enclosure to ensure the front and back wave aren't cancelling each other out

The tweeter is supposed to handle the highs the woofer is supposed to handle the mid base subwoofer they’re supposed to handle low bass get that corrected before making a speaker video
Don't even bother with Kicker. I bought a pair of Kicker 6.5s and a pair of very cheap $30 speakers and by far the $30 pair sound and fit better. Why Crutchfield is endorsing these speakers is beyond me.

Lots of overlap with the CS series. So why this DS vs CS? Using some 3.5 DS3504 in my cx-5 dash with 600Hz 1st order crossover and so far so good; better front stage than with just a tweeter in the dash.
