Your irises are already quite large and well defined so that’s why these contacts aren’t really showing a major difference on you

These are circle lenses, they are designed to make the eyes look bigger by enlarging the iris. The reason they are almost all brown is because they are mostly worn by Asians, not because brown eyes don’t “pop” lol. They are very popular in east Asia and almost every single female celebrity or model on tv/in photos wears them (in Asia,) even news reporters.:) They can also make people look younger too, bc most have limbal rings that fade as we get older. Wish they were more popular in the west.
If they could make a color enhancing contact lens that shows how my brown eyes look in sunlight then i would definitely buy them!! Because my eyes are just a medium brown, not super dark to where it looks black and not honey/hazel brown but just a basic brown that get lighter in sunlight

As a guy I have to say that there is absolutely no improvement with define contacts on you. I'd even say that there is a little bit of 'alien look' and moments of cross-eyed effect. I know the bigger ring makes it 'pop out' but it's not in a good way.

I tried the Biofinity ones and not only did I pay more, they also gave me a headache and I couldn't read anything close up. Waste of money. Will try these.

I was afraid they were gonna be super thin and flimsy like the Baush and Lomb for presbyopia but they are simialr to the air optix i have I wanted to go with the ones made specifically for presbyopia hoping the eye dr will let me try these tomorrow

Hi Dolores, thanks for a very useful video. I'm 30 and quite new to contacts - in fact this is my first complete year of wearing them. I hate wearing glasses as they just get in the way and I love how contacts suit my lifestyle. I just felt let down with the Air Optix Aqua lenses I was using, at the end of the day in a heavily air conditioned workplace my eyes felt tired, sore and gritty. My optician recommended I try J+J Acuvue Oasys contact lenses for astigmatism in the right eye and a plain spherical lens (Acuvue Oasys) in the left eye to match my current prescription. I have a trial for these due in two weeks time, and a tester pair due in literally hours from now, so I hope they feel better for me. I guess you keep having to try new lenses till a pair works for you? I tired daily lenses and agree that the cellophane type that curl up are a nightmare and so thin I can barely get them in. I'm hoping the J+J ones are as thick as my monthly lenses and maybe help to keep my eye hydrated. I'll keep in touch if anyone would like to know how I get on. :)
Thank you for a fantastic, informative and helpful video! I'm using the Acuvue +1.25 in only my right eye -- my optometrist never even mentioned multi focal contacts, so I must find somewhere to get a prescription for these! :-)
Thanks a lot for your review Dolores, it's always refreshing to see an honest assessment. I'm trying on my first set of contacts (CooperVision Proclear). They're comfortable, but I'm seeing a lot of ghosting/double vision (especially with bright objects like text on TV). Apparently you need to train your eyes, but I'm on my fourth day now, and it's not getting any better. J&J site says the Oasys ones don't have that issue...is that true? This is a deal breaker for me.

Helpful review.  i just got a pair to try since the old ones have been discontinued and was looking for some feedback from others on how these new ones might work.  I work at a computer all day so I am hoping they work as well as the old Acuvue Bifocal contacts worked.

I'm glad I saw your video because recently I've been getting frustrated with my contact lenses. I use contact lenses for distance and when I've done wearing them for the day or days I can't wear them, I default to my glasses. Like you, I enjoyed the benefit of reading without glasses, but needing them for the distance just like my contact lenses. I did have two pairs of glasses; one for distance and one for crafting which is ok but if I'm knitting or crocheting something easy while watching a YT tutorial, I can't switch and still work, ugh. So, I got varifocal glasses. Now I'm feeling the same frustration with my lenses but only when it comes to seeing things close to me like reading small print like you experienced. I would have got all this sorted out in April just gone when my eye test and lens check was due but, ha ha, lockdown happened. My opticians have just re-opened and I have an email saying I'm overdue (as if I didn't already know that) so I'm going to wait a month for all those who really need eye care more than me to get sorted then, I'll see about multifocal contact lenses 😎

I tried a lot of MULTIFOCAL lenses and the images keep shifting and blurring I'd rather monovision or readers over lenses
Moist is easily ACUVUE best lens only drawback is the low oxygen transmission of only 33
Can you drive well wearing those contact lenses?
Just put my first set in about 20 minutes ago and appreciated your comments on your experience so I could be patient with them. So far they instantly fixed seeing close up but far away is a little blurry (although that's a bit of a strong word for it - but just not quite right). Hoping that will round out soon and be a bit better and then I think I'll love them. So tired of carrying glasses around! Thanks!
