I just bought the 3K kit in a physical store, but after seeing a lot of reviews on both the 3K and 5K, I’ve decided to order the 5K kit online and I’ll return the 3K. I have the Nikon D5300, so the 3K should hold, but I still want that extra stability.

thank you for the video! very helpful ... I just bought a 3k on prime day and now I wasn't sure if it will be strong enough for my Fuji X-H1 or if the 5k is better for that. But after watching the video I keep the 3k and look for a lightweight ball head with arca swiss compatibility (for my peak design clip). There is a Smallrig ball head that looks promising :)

Hi, I own a Nikon D7200 (700 grams) and lenses between 1000 and 1500 grams. In total well below the 3000grams the 3k is designed for. However I can't find any video's like yours with some heavier equipment mounted at the 3k. Have you tried equipment over 2k at the 3k? If the 3k really is sufficient I like that one better because it's more compact, lighter and a bit cheaper.
So D750 and a 105mm micro lens will need 5k?
I have the Joby mobile Rig can i put the holder for mobile phones on the joby 5K?

So I bought the Joby Gorillapod 5k Kit, which I wanted to use with my DSLR and iPhone. Which I now realize doesn't work with iPhone, anyone know which attachment I need to use for both?? Hoping this didn't go completely wasted, don't want to use multiple tripods when travelling!
