No, it is not strong enough. You will need to get a different kind of mount that has strong suction cups. There are a few models of those around.

Yes, if you can still return it try and switch it to the magnetic version. They are basically the same thing but one has magnets. I haven't found a reason to get one without them.

Is it worth buying the magnetic version, and i know that in the original ones the tip's on the legs are rubbery and give a great grip, is it the same material on the magnetic version. Are the tip of the legs also rubber material in the magnetic version? thankyou :)

@bojakcates There are some nice Point and shoots out there. Like the Canon Powershot S95. Look it up it has much desired features on it, for a point and shoot, so much so that a Yahoo Reviewer recently praised it calling it simply amazing. I have owned a couple Powershots by Canon and I am satisfied with them for my point and shoots. Cant Go wrong with them IMO. Sometimes people dont want to lug around a gigantic DSLR and a huge tripod so they care the nicest point and shoot with this.
