I buy it for 3 £
I own 3 onbeat xtremes small medium and large. both of them switch off and sleep during play, as soon as my iphone or ipad screensaver darkens during play. otherwise it switches itself off after an hour or so anyway. also, all three of them emit a loud buzzing sound as soon as iphone is charged on the dock, annd the buzzing wont stop unless i remove the iphone, or the iphone has less than full battery

How to fix the sleep mode issue: "Because of EuP-regulations, the unit must enter Standby after 10 minutes to save power, when no sound is detected. Your HK or JBL component has a fixed threshold for this level. If you turn down the volume on your MP3 player or smartphone too low, the speaker will see this as silence. Next time you want to play music, simply turn up the volume on your MP3 player or smartphone as high as it goes, without distortion setting in. Now control the volume on your HK or JBL speaker instead of on the MP3 player or smartphone."

I bought the Micro so as to listen to relaxing sounds when sleeping but it appears to turn itself off after a short time. Is this the same for anyone else?

I got the same speaker and there is only one flaw that irritates me... After a while the speaker goes standby so if you don't switch it on back you won't hear a call, sms or whatever else... That made me missed an important text message last time :(

i have a really old onstage micro and ive beat it to death and it still sounds amazing been looking for something to upgrade the beats pill is soooo attractive but i feel i should stay loyal to JBL

I am a bit disappointed that this model dont got a remote controller ... my last JBL was similar to this one even a bit smaller I think it was JBL On Stage III and it had a remote controller... And the moving connector is not so good for me at least!

We have a tiny recharger for normal batteries. It recommends not to recharge Duracels, but we haven't had any issues, just check there not bulging or leaking. We do Energizers too. Much cheaper, they go in some plants that have LED's on em, use them as night lights instead.
I think you could also get a USB adaptor to 3.5mm cable in order to use it on any phone/mp3 player. Beats Audio on my HTC 8x rocks with Bose In Ear Phones.
