I have a pair of the 12's that I got upgrading from an old pair of mackies and I'm really unimpressed with them. They don't seem to be as loud as the mackies were, and they were only 300 watts. I don't understand the channel volume vs the main volume. Should I put the main volume high and adjust the channel volume midway or something? It's just not what I expected.

I have 2 JBL EON 615 and one Alto ts112 and the Alto is a tad louder and has more punch to the base I thought. JBL has deep base and sounds nice. Alto sounds great as well. I think I might get another Alto ts112. I like that punchy bass that hits hard and thumps.

This was a waste of my money. I’m a poor high schooler and it doesn’t sound good at all with my keyboard. (Nord freaking stage) any suggestions on any better speakers or how to make it sound better and make it louder.

I am very disappointed in my JBL EON 615 while they sound good, both have let let me down less than 6 months old back for repair under warranty 3 months apart amp have failed in woofer on the first one and power supplied failed on the other cutting in out i would never trust these speakers unless you had 4 of them
What stand does the speaker sit on?
firstly a great speaker however I thought it was made in the USA that's why i bought,them looked at the back and it had a label saying made in mexico , then had a closer look there is a made in china sticker placed over the made in mexico , why is that??

hi. my Eon 615 which i love. doesn't power up. fuse is good. then mysteriously will power up. i have 3 so I'm not stuck. but this issue has to be resolved. of course i tried all cables and input sources so its an internal problem. it works one day. doesn't the next kinda. lol. any advice or tips would be appreciated. thanks!!

From what I gather eon is way to go, use the 615’s in woofer mode and pair with a 618 for bass for the best all around sound.
I think the JBL has a More quality sound to it . But I’m not sure about how moody it is to set up . I’m into bare basics plug in dial in and done
Mackie is more mids and sounds a bit louder. JBL has more bass. Hard to tell with the room acoustics playing a part as well, At least to me listening on my old Yamaha HS80s I use for desktop speakers. They both sound great and Im sure both are a great buy. Ive been a big JBL fan ever since I bought 30 of each enterprise grade THX certed JBL horn loaded 18" sub cabs, 15" duel horned cabs, and duel 12" duel horned cabs. Along with a bunch of 8" wedge shape surrounds with the 8" in the center and a horn firing at a 45 degree angle on each side for bipole/dipole dispersion that were for the surrounds, and 20 2U THX amps that powered them from a movie theatre for a steal "almost literally" I paid $7k for all that equipment that was only 5 years old. I felt like I hit the lottery. It was essentially the entire sound system from a small 3 room theatre that a contractor buddy of mine got the job to empty out after the building was sold with everything in it. The owner didnt give 2 shits what was inside and wanted everything inside to go to the dump and the building cleared of everything. My Buddy and his crew were just going to throw away all of that amazing equipment so I paid them the cash (which they were happy about) to let me come in with a trailer and take everything I wanted for giving him and his crew some cash. They didnt care about audio stuff nore did they know what that grade of equipment is really worth. It took 5 trips to the 3 biggest storage units I could find. I even grabbed the kitchen equipment and arcade machines. Sadly the only thing that was taking from the preivous owners was the projectors but I didnt care. I came out with over 100K worth of equipment. Ive been selling it all over the last 5 years and have given my buddy another 10k for giving me the opportunity. Ive sold enough to put a huge down payment on a new home and I still have a good 50% of the speakers. Most is still in storage and some in my own home theatre and a couple friends. While I write this, it still feels surreal.
I just bought a pair of 615...it sounds amazing and have a great Bass I play techno, and it does the job perfectly

I have old Mackie SRM 450 (Italian)and they are the best speakers i have ever owned (never over heated on me and never blown or repaired in about 20 years)but the JBLs sound great. Maybe not get thumps plus i dont like how the thumps look.
At 19:21, the Hammond organ is hardly noticeable on the JBL, yet very noticeable on the Mackie. Why is that? Baseline unity settings?
