The gold plastic in the headband of these headphones is very weak. Multiple amazon reviews have documented this problem, but just so you know before ordering them that gold plastic is likely to break within the first year or so of using them. For me personally I only used them at my desk, never travelled with them, never dropped them, never even folded them, and the golden plastic started to crack within 6 months. They do sound amazing though, and they're quite comfortable. Just wanted to let everyone know who's considering the purchase.
I just had to revisit this review. These were my first purchase of bluetooth headphones over 3 years ago. They were purchased directly from JBL during a 50% off BF sale. I have since purchased much better BT headphones but these still get used & hold a special place in my heart. FTR....... They still perform flawlessly & there's nothing better than hearing Quincy's voice giving the notifications!

Bought the 650BTNC and then saw these at TJMaxx. Bought them both and compared the two and the E55s blew the other out of the water and were less than half the price. Clutch find at the Teeej

Think twice before this headphone or similar style. I got mine, after 1 and 2 months, the synthetic leather is peeling-off and power ON is not working, I am using it for an average of once a month, because I still have my BOSE. Sad thing there is no reliable customer service, every communication will end to uncertainty. I strongly believe the design of the headphone (folding) and wire of connect to power (on/off) has an inferior quality and they failed to do a folding or flexing test.
Please think twice before buying this product, after 1 year and 2 months the cover material (synthetic leather) and earphone is not working anymore because the bendable earphone's WIRE is now broken -- because 1) it did not last as you are bending it, during the time that you will place it on the pouch and 2) the material they used is either inferior or actual testing was not made. Thank you.

How do these E55's compare to the Live 650's with 50mm and 40mm drivers respectively, I've heard the 55's and liked the sound but dont know if the 40mm drives reduce the sound quality. Both are available for $99 (11-2019)

E55bt is very good the down side to it is only the bass. As it doesn’t give a good bass but not a bad one also. E65 is very bad , I had a horrible experience with it. The volume was very low and I couldn’t feel the music I was listening to. If you want to buy jbl e55 is one of the best sound quality headphones for gaming and music

I have been searching for wireless on-ear or over the ear headphones for last few weeks but whatever reviews I have seen they all have keep telling Bluetooth connectivity with mobile only but no one is telling whether this will work with laptop for video call or phone calls thru Aux if Bluetooth is disable in laptop for security concern. Some of have told that if we use Aux wire to connect mobile then it's inbuilt mic gets disable. Then you can only listen to music and cannot talk on phone. Pls include mobile and laptop connectivity in your videos and advise budget headphone with 5.0 Bluetooth under Rs.3000/-
