I've had this speakers for 2+ yrs now, The first yr and half was all great, until the battery weakened. With just the battery alone and not plugged in, the audio is shyte as it would mostly go static as it seems it cannot properly power the speaker with a weak battery. You'll now have to always plug it in to have mostly good audio output. But still, audio would go static or turn off if you put it to max volume.Now, I wanted to have a new battery for it to be replaced cuz I cant live with this problem anymore, it turns out the battery and labor along would already cost half the price of this unit when it was brandnew. Mofos intentionally provided a weak power/charging port so that you'd either get a new battery every 12-18 month which is very expensive, or just get a new one since the battery replacement and labor along already cost about the same as a brand new unit, and always plugging it in won't return it to the good audio it had when you first had it and still had a good battery.My Long Term review recommendation.DONT EVER BUY THIS EXPENSIVE BT SPEAKER IF YOU WANT IT TO BE USED FOR A LONG TIME. BECAUSE IT WONT. IT WILL STILL TAKE MORE OF YOUR MONEY. THIS IS NOT WORTH IT. -_-
This might be too late, but how would you compare Charge 3 to Flip 5? Im asking since they both are price exactly same on an ongoing sale.

Bose earphones BLEW UP in my ears! Recently, the earphone exploded in my right ear while I was asleep and it caused an immense amount of throbbing pain along with the pressure. Drumming in the ears persisted for several minutes and I also went deaf for a few moments.I was stunned and found out that it was the battery that exploded. Contacted Bose straight away and of course they told me to wait. Well, guess what. The wait lasted for a month. Bose Hong Kong (I bought the earphones in Hong Kong and am still living in Hong Kong.) never had the intention to offer any compensation. I was outraged that Bose actually had the audacity to demand that I return the earphones, charging case and power cable. Not only do Bose sell defective products, they concealed the safety issues that could endanger their customers. Soooo my charge 3 just caught on fire last night while i was listening to music.. me and my friend had just hit the bong so my speaker catching on fire at 2am tripped us tf out (btw idk how it caught on fire, wasnt connected nor near liquid)

I dont really know how to tell you this but, I use my JBL Charge 3 speaker everyday for at least 6 hours A DAYAnd I havent charged it in 4 years I dont know how the hell its still running

I have been using a tiny $10 insignia bt speaker for over 4 years replaced the battery wile ago loved it can't imagine not having it around till either speaker lost sound quality or drivers components are failing sounds like an old gameboy so thought it would be best to invest in a better speaker.So many options on Amazon most with bad reviews or short comings glad to find JBL reviews online are all good and Excited to hear even better reviews thankyou
This is a great speaker until it falls in water. Then it's done. And JBL support is of 0 help as always.
Im having issues with my JBL charge 3 right now especially on its bass, I only use it for more than 1 month only and now theres this crackling-static sound on it. So frustrating. I never drop it or put it on water but yeah. This is a bummer especially for JBL.
I like to take this up to remote areas with a nice fat bowl and cheech and play slappers and this thing really gets me vibin. Such a good speaker.
