Great video. I think I am very tempted to enter the realm of 7 strings. I have had a long hiatus from guitar and I am relearning the basics and want to get into the home recording, for newbies. Have you any pointers on where to start with recording? I have heard of irig and focusrite . I think the 7 string would be a major acquisition

I haven't even gotten through the whole video, and I'm already giving this a like. Great sample tracks on the guitar! I was almost set on purchasing a Harley Benton 7 String (R-457MN WH Prog Series), and then I came across this Jackson. From your video, the stock pickups sound great; and it may even improve on post. But I would for sure swap those pups out with something else. Anyway, I can ramble on too...so I'll just say thank you for the quick review.

Can you at least do a demonstration on clean tones? I really want one of these, but I don’t know how chords will work for it.
It’s a shame that most of the 7 strings on the market are meant mostly for metal. I could think of a lot I could do with a 7 string for country or jazz.
So I have ordered it, but I want to tune down to slipknot so I ordered heavy strings but I ordered a pack of strings so I’m not sure what to do, do u have any advice???

Nice man 👍 I've been looking at this model for a year or so now thinking about getting my 7 string feet wet with this guitar...seems like the best option around for not a ton of coin in case I end up hating 7 strings..lol.

I installed Seymour Duncan Pegasus 7 on it and its almost blown my house apart
I've got one. Wish I had got it a little later down the line because when I got it I was a beginner and didn't take care of it because I couldn't get the tone I wanted out of it. So I through it in my closet for about two years. Now I'm a decent player and know more than before. I salvaged it, and am waiting to get some more strings for it. If my "salvaging" isn't good enough, I'll look into the JS-32.
Cool... Does the 7th string go easily out of tune with repeated riffing? Is it stable enough?

+Mstr MetalHed This is an awesome guitar review. I have an ESP LTD M-17, and it's a good guitar. One of these days, I might pick up this guitar after testing it out at Guitar Center. Would you recommend this guitar? Also, since this guitar has a 26.5 inch scale, do you think that this guitar can go down to a Drop "E" tuning, five notes lower than Drop "A"? I always wondered if a 7 string with a 26.5 inch scale, can be tuned down to the same notes as an 8 string. For example, the 7 strings on a 7 string would go as follows. Drop "F" sharp, as the low "B" string. Then, the standard 6 strings after that goes as follows. "Drop B", Low "E", "A", "D", G", and the high "B" string, which is the high "E" string. However, the high "E" string is tuned to the "B" string, if all 7 strings on the guitar are tuned down to a standard 8 string setting, even though, there is no high "E" since the high "E" string at this point, is tuned five notes lower, to the "B" note.
