Yeah... have fun plodding in heavy rain or changing a tire with these things. Plus, wearing these with some prissy dress-socks means some stank-ass feet at the end of the day. Most of these goofy shoes don't even breath well, and uncomfortable as hell. Get a good looking pair of cowboy boots or work-boots (Georgia, Red Wing, Justin, etc.)
As long as you are not wearing purple crocs or some flip flops... Seriously nobody gives a damn about what shoes you wear.

Here in Jamaica the most popular shoes for men is desert Clark's. I stand out at work and get a lot of compliments from my whole cuts which I bought online. To this day I have never seen a pair of whole cuts in our stores locally so they really turn heads because no one has ever seen shoes like them.
A pair of dress boots (cap toe without brogue), Chelsea boots, oxfords, and penny loafers are in my academic/occupational dress rotation. I’ve had several pairs of suede chukkas, but they don’t last long enough compared to full grain leather.

However, I’ll also say that one the big reasons in my opinion why it may seem harder to wear Black shoes and good styled Black leather shoes is that many guys, men don’t wear that much variability in Trouser colors. Dark Trousers and Black shoes don’t go well and offer much for contrast and distinction of difference when observed.
You don’t need the rainbow of colors in Trousers, but it certainly gives you lots of options to color wheel match a shirt, pants and shoes all offering some contrast. There in you certainly have options to wear both stylish Black, Brown, Dark Brown and Burgundy Shoes. Even as well off color shoes. Very much yes a dark brown leather shoe or brown burgundy is extremely versatile to wear and with dark denim. But the point being you as a guy, man won’t have that many options if your Trousers and Shoes are limited in color patterns.
Investing in a real nice dark brown or brown burgundy offers lots of versatility with denim and dark denim for the more dressy casual look.
