I just turned 71 it’s late at night mid June and I can’t stop watching your videos your voice your intelligence and you’re willing to say I don’t know but this is my evidence is quite profound keep on Truckin
I do not discount the possibility, however given the propensity to rewrite history, by a certain ilk within society, this has to, given the paucity of hard empirical evidence , remain conjecture, no matter how well intended. countries world wide are peppered with 'factual' books penned by people who were well-intentioned, rather than well-informed.
One thing , camels are not native to Asia , they’re natives to the Americas as are horses , llamas are ancestral to the later Asian camels which all descended from a North American ancestor
you have excellent taste in Scotch

actually, it was the ancient who didnt know how to turn the melted iron into steel. but instead,, as you say, the product would tun into "pig iron" (not cast iron, which is what the frying pan you show and call it "cast iron pan"), totally brittle and useless--except for being the raw material for making steel. AND, when the red hot iron is struck by hammer, the impurities fly out of it in shape of sparks. so, by pounding it, you are purifying the hot iron
Haddad people From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from Haddad (ethnic group)) The Haddad (also known as the Danoa) are a Sahelian Muslim ethnic group found through Nigeria, Chad and Sudan, numbering more than 250,000 individuals[citation needed]. They live in the midst of other peoples and do not have their own language but speak the language of the surrounding community. The traditional employment of the community has always been blacksmithry. They are universally despised by all other ethnic groups, and live segregated, generally without any land or water rights. They are strictly endogamous and are often considered untouchable by the members of other groups. These sentiments are reciprocated by the Haddad, who maintain a high view of their group. Recently, Haddad members, because of the decline of their monopoly of blacksmithry caused by importation, have started migrating to the Sudanese towns, living beside other ethnic groups. Maybe I'm not quick on the uptake but the idea of discounting the dating due to "old wood" sounds a bit silly to me: in order for wood to be IE not a green sapling unusable to create a high degree burning fire, the wood WOULD be pretty old. {;ease someone correct me if I'm missing some crucial detail that makes this argument make sense. That said: thank you SO much for your videos that are concise, educational and quite entertaining. I just discovered you and I will be supporting your Patreon soon. Please keep on keeping on Sir!

I wonder if some of the iron working was figured out by reverse engineering. The methods would have been closely guarded by one culture but other cultures could see that it was done so they experimented until they got it right.
I wouldn’t say that from nothing is the best YouTube channel for African history. There’s another guy that runs the channel “home team history” that does a better job of explaining the vast amounts of culture and historical moments of Africa. Not to take anything away from “from nothing,” but I feel like he relies way too much on Eurocentric perceptions of African history. It’s still an ongoing problem in Academia for some reason.
