Does the nexus 6 fit??
I've used the iottie for 4 years and I've never experienced the melting of the gel, I think using the black dashboard pad is essential to keep the gel from melting.
Is there a reason you didn't use the base suction pad thing? I just ordered mine and this video showed me exactly what I was worried about. Thank you!
Will the shadow go away over time?
Nice review. Great to see how well it held up under high temperatures, which is a relief. I saw some written reviews of people who complained that it fell off, so my guess is they installed it incorrectly or maybe the dash wasn’t clean.

I hear you about how well it sticks. But for business travelers with three different rental cars in a week, taking it off is a real nuisance. Maybe it will get easier over time, but I couldn't believe how hard it was to dislodge.
