Well, here is a watered down explanation. There are two agencies/standardizations when it comes to RAM frequencies JEDEC and XMP/A-XMP (intel/AMD) I guess Corsair one have JEDEC 2400 and XMP 2666 HyperX have SK Hynix ODM rated at JEDEC 2666 as well as XMP 2666 (I can confirm this myself) that too at ~CL15 Crucial have similar to that of Corsair, but with Micron ODM (obviously) but ~CL19, i.e JEDEC2400 but XMP2666 Dell only subscribe to JEDEC and doesn't officially support XMP

Hi, I got a question, I ordered VENGEANCE DDR4 2x16Gb with clock speed 2666MHz (and the speed display in the BIOS as well as in Task Manager in Windows Explorer), and my laptop is Alienware 15 R4, GTX 1070, 8th gen CPU. When I install them both, (32GB of 2666MHz) the screen simply blackout, but the keyboard and fan are working fine, but when I remove one, 16GB out, the screen lights up, I want to install 32GB in my laptop, but the screen doesn't display, I know that the 32Gb is supported for my laptop version, so any help or recommendation for that issue, pls?

When it comes to picking up laptop rams for my predator helios, I always go for the crucial. No one cares about the looks of the stick. Hypex makes bad ass looking ram cards to an extra $40 than crucial ones. But, once you plug that shit into your laptop, no one can see the looks of the ram stick. lol

Get yourself some cheap ram 32GB and some nice ARGB ram covers, I got some from Asiahorse ARGB ram covers 18 dollars on Amazon, they are nice come with heat pads and they are daisy chainable, the ram I have is TeamGroup 3200, it has SK Hynix chips and is overclockable and even more overclockable with the heat sinks and pads I added, to be honest it works well for Ryzen 5 5600X and an RTX 3060 Ti, 750W bequite PSU. Honestly I feel good about this system moving forward, it performs great in games. If one is limited by the high price of ram these days this could be an option, it sure was for me!

warning on OLOy products and customer service . Bought 2 stick of OLOy ram . Brand new . 1 was bad , Called the US OLOY customer support , Had a woman answer the phone ( Hello) . Hear a kid crying in the background. So ask is this OLOy customer support . She said yes . She ask my email and I got an email with a RMA number , Had to pay to ship to CA address . When they got my item they emailed me . We got you ram stick . We will now forward it to CHINA . They will manufacture you another , They will test it and then send one back to you . This will take about 2 months to complete . WTF? I sent email that I was un-satisfied . They will not respond /// They get a C- for product quality They get a big fat F for customer service .
