Plz do not buy hp spectre 360 x. I had a horrible experience with it and hp customer service is very pathetic.I am an below average pc user who uses laptop for just educational purposes and for ppts and videos. Very minimal use of touchscreen and tablet mode.Bought hp spectre x360 1year back from Amazon. It had screen flickering issue so I returned it as it was an hardware problem.After that I purchased another hp spectre 360Within a week or so after purchase got screen flickering issue. I contacted hp support. At that time they asked me to see whether flickering issue is persistent in bios mode, I said yes. Then they updated some driver and after some time the flickering was resolved. At that time I was not informed that if flickering occurs in bios then it is an hardware issue. They didnt send any technician to check it further.Now just 15 days after my warranty is over, screen flickering and what not( black patches, black lines) again stared. I again contacted hp support team. I got invoice regarding onsite visit on 28th June and I paid it immediately.I again experienced the worst thing which can happen to me with hp service.Your hp on site technician visited today(after 18 days of registration of case I'd), checked the laptop and opened it, disconnected the display connection, cleaned it and reattached it. And now my display which was at least showing something now is completely dead. Now display is not getting on only. technician said there is some issue with display wire or display panel he doesn't know for sure. So my laptop which was having screen lines and flickering issue has a completely dead display now thanks to hp trained technician. And now they ask me to change complete display which cost around 40 to 50 k.So if the flickering was already present in bios mode when I contacted hp support in warranty period just after my purchase, that means it was an hardware issue which was already there and hp people neglected that when my pc was in warranty.And now for no fault of mine hp is asking me to pay a huge amount of money for changing the display which could have been avoided in first place, but due to negligence of hp support.I had previously used vaio and dell laptop but never got any issues with them. Also a cheap 30000 rupees touchscreen and convertible laptop Lenovo yoga 360 my wife is using never got any such issue since 5 years. I hoped my hp experience would have been better with a premium product like hp spectre which cost more than 1 lakh, but unfortunately I have experienced worse.

Can anyone recommend a good monitor to use with the Spectre x360 14? I will be using my unit for photo editing mainly. I dont do gaming and have no need for monitor speakers as I have a magic pair of Bowers & Wilkins headphones. Its colour quality Im after and colours that match with the laptops screen. All ideas appreciated, not too expensive though please!

I love Lisa's reviews! But on this HP, I have two "irritations". 1) When did 13.5" diagonal screen size become 14"? Was there a change in the Dimensional Universe that I missed? 2) Is anybody else dismayed at the dearth of Ports? 2 Thunderbolt 4 - I can accept that, but ONE USB? Oy! I do, however, appreciate the Media Reader. Another question is what does HP mean by "4x4 SSD" on their website descriptions? (may not apply to this specific model) I do agree that this OLED is gorgeous! And the laptop is gorgeous! But I worry that rumor has it that HP is completely revamping, and redesigning their entire 2-in-1 line next year - so get this Nightfall color now because it is supposedly going away.
Great review Lisa! Btw does anyone know if this oled screen has a visible touch layer? It appears as a diamond-shaped matrix on whites and lighter colors. It is most notable when up close, but I could still see it from about 2 feet away. I had an older x360 and had to return it because I could not take the way the touch layer made the screen look almost dirty. If anyone could say from personal experience I would really appreciate it!

I am using the 2017 model and (despite some build quality issues) I am rather happy with it. That 3:2 display would make an upgrade worthwhile, though. 16:9 is just terrible for the type of work I do.But honestly, I think Id just go for a MacBook Air at that point. But the Spectre X360 line still seems like the best Windows alternative.
