Typing this comment on this exact laptop. hoping to upgrade the Ram to 16gb (adding 8GB RAM DDR4 PC4-2400) by end of month. I have the HDD model so also will be upgrading to an SSD (Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 250GB NVMe). It can still play current games ex Genshin Impact and GTA V at mid to low settings with playable frames. Battery life was around 5hours and I have remove the battery since it got bloated and is currently plugged all the time as a PC setup. Nice review.

Update on price - I indeed paid $689 for this one with the 1050 but it appears that this is now what they're selling the AMD version for. The 1050 version is $749.
